I agree. Would've handed to Hyde on 3rd and again on 4th. Should've been able to get 2 per carry.

ESPN gamecast shows Purdue with one penalty for 15 yards, OSU with 3 for 25 yards.
This game is being decided by giveaways (OSU +2...+1, really) and TOP (OSU -10 min).

That safety was killer. You'd like to see Guiton maybe unload that quicker or run something quicker and more decisive in that spot. I'm not crazy about going from the gun back to back in those spots. The roll-out is even more sketchy, IMO.

The way they were talking it may be some sort of head injury. Didn't really see anything like that on the hit though.

The game is being decided by horrendous play by the bucks. We just didn't look ready to me - not the first time I've felt that way this year. Not any surprise, we've won some really badly played games this year.

Horrendous play tends to manifest itself in things like TOP disparity and turnover margin  Braxton Miller injury notwithstanding (I'm not much of a fan, personally, but I hate to see injuries), I think OSU and a large part of the fanbase needed a game like this. The defense is not good (even beyond the injuries) and the offense is predicated 90% on the running ability of Miller and 10% on the running ability of Hyde. Yet people have been talking about how the Buckeyes would run the table and be ranked #1 in the AP poll, and how the BCS would look foolish by not being able to have them in the National Championship game. This team just does not pass the eye test to me right now, despite their record. They give up a ton of points, they barely have any passing game to speak of that doesn't involve busted coverage by the opponent, and they've played a cupcake schedule. I understand the desire to bounce back from Tressel and the horrible season last year, and the excitement that comes with the coaching coup of landing Urban Meyer, but the Buckeyes just don't seem to be as advertised, in my opinion.

Nice drive + 2. I am not one of those fans that thinks we are even close to national title contenders. I agree with what you said except for wanting s loss all I have to root for is an undefeated season this year.

I don't "want a loss". I just think that getting worked over by a bad team was needed to bring some folks back down to earth.
Given that its likely they'll win now that they scored the TD in overtime, I'm not sure that will happen though.

anyone who doesn't think that this Buckeye team is anything more than the product of a weak schedule is fooling themselves.
however, it's nice to be undefeated after a 7-6 year and it helps recruiting too. so, i want this to string out as long as we can get it too.

I have no idea how we won today... no way we should have... I honestly think we have a ton of talent, but have some many places we need to improve... really need to get more play on the ground out of our RBs though and need to learn how to tackle on defense.
I didn't think we'd go undefeated thsi year, still probably won't, but with nothing else to play for except pride and setting the team up for next year this has been pretty nice.
We'd get killed in a BCS bowl though if we actually went through the Big 10 this year undefeated and were allowed to go to a bowl...

I wouldn't be all that eager to leave the MAC...I think it is a good conference. It's the big time of the smaller conferences.
Something about those smaller stadiums that gets lost at the big schools. "Old time football feel" for lack of a better description.
If you did move, I doubt you would be in a position to drag anybody along and you would have to expand your stadium. Your stadium holds what??? 25,000??
I think D1 is set at 45,000 as a minimum.

Even last year Clowney was a force. No doubt he is almost always the best football player on the field. He is going to have to play one more year before he can go pro.
Sometimes that first pick is dictated by needs if a top QB is there, but he would be my pick. Jevon Kearse meets LeRoy Selmon...that's what you have in Clowney.
