Anybody seen 30 for30 yet? gotta feel bad for Bernie, sounds like he was just to generous to his family and friends, I think he's happier with out all the money though.

The Kosar thing with family being at the root of the problem was a cautionary tale for sure.

Good Show, showed how people can just cling onto others who have money, very sad way to live your life.

Still think A.Rison is a waste.

Outside of Bernie I really didn't feel sorry for any of the athletes. Andre Rison came across as a complete tool.

Having 5 sports cars, 3 Mansions, and 9 Kids? Give me a break.

ESPN announces 30 for 30 schedule

By Reid Cherner, USA TODAY

ESPN is bringing back its documentary series in the fall.

Here is the 30-for-30 schedule:

"Broke" (Oct. 2): A look at how athletes manage (or don't) their money including a look at Bernie Kosar, Andre Rison and Cliff Floyd.

"9.79 (Oct. 9): When Ben Johnson tested positive in the 1988 Olympics after running the fastest time in the 100 meters, sports and the Olympics were changed forever.

"There's No Place Like Home (Oct. 16): The rules of basketball by James Naismith were auctioned off in 2010 by Sotheby's. A look at the zeal of one fan to purchase the rules and bring them home to Lawrence, Kan.

"Benji (Oct. 23): In 1984, Ben Wilson was one of the most promising high school basketball players in the nation. He was shot to the death prior to his senior season in Chicago.

"Ghosts of Ole Miss (Oct. 30): In 1962, the University of Mississippi was attempting to integrate. At the same time they were trying to complete an undefeated season in football. The events of that year still hold sway on the campus today.

"You Don't Know Bo (Dec. 8): The athletic feats of Bo Jackson as a football player and baseball player are legendary even two decades after he performed them.

I was commenting that I was unaware of his troubles,, what's your problem with that?

Lol

There is an episode later on this year or early next year that is going to be about no Jackson.

Not about financial troubles. That was only the episode titled "Broke"

If you aren't familiar with the series, it can be an easy mistake. Every episode is something different.

I suggest watching all of them if you have some time to burn, it's a unique series.

I'm a big Bo fan, so I'll be tuning in for sure.

So far, of the 30 for 30 'sodes I've watched, I really liked these:

"The Two Escobars"
"Winning Time: Reggie Miller vs. The New York Knicks"
"Small Potatoes: Who Killed the USFL?"
"Without Bias"
"Into the Wind"
"Once Brothers"
"Fernando Nation"
"Pony Excess"
"The Fab Five"
"Unguarded"
"The Announcement"

Some of the others I missed or were just "ok".

And no Daman, they're not all about people going broke. That was just the most recent one (which I tried watching, but it got lame quickly).

I've only seen a few ... but Once Brothers was really touching, and the one about Bartman was really good stuff too.

Really enjoyed the Steve Bartman one as well as the documentary on the University of Miami football throughout the late 80's.

I really liked the one on the U. I haven't watched that many, but that one was good. I believe a lot of them are available on Netflix streaming.

The one about Marques Dupree was good. I remembered him tearing it up in college and then forgot about him.

I got a chance to catch a couple of these over the weekend on Netflix. The Two Escobars, Without Bias, and Guru of Go (also covers the LMU player that died on the court) were amazingly well done. I even caught the 4 days in October one about the Boston Red Sox, which was more or less just a Bill Simmons rah-rah piece, but even that was still pretty decent.
