I am at work till 230 am so cant watch it till i get home, but would love to be able to fillow along with peoples thoughts in here.
I really dont give a damn about any of the issues, because they really arent going to say anything. But I have to admit, i like Joe Biden. Not in a " i think hes a good politician" but i find him funny and entertaining, in a drunk clown kind of way.
Ryan has a weasely way of attacking, should be fun to watch him get under ole crazy Joes skin. Taking bets on how long till they have to bleep out am F bomb

Ryan is sharp.
Biden is dull.
I remember watching the Biden vs. Palin debate and I was pulling my hair out thinking that Palin was just missing opportunity after opportunity to just crush him.
Ryan is on a whole nother level than Palin. He's one of the smartest guys in Washington.
This might be such an overwhelming victory that something weird happens. Like Biden walks out. Or throws a punch. Or something impossible to predict like that.
I'm taping it to watch tonight with the wife and I'm ready for anything.

Neither is an intellectual heavyweight (do not understand the idea that Ryan is bright. Same as Obama - they're perceived as very smart when they're more smooth talking than anything).
With that said, Ryan should walk away looking great.

If Ryan is sharp. Biden dull. Palin was dim. So, lights off, no one home, dim. She missed a lot. Thank lord she never made it anywhere near the Oval Office.

It's close to impossible to be bright in most political arenas.
The emphasis is in selling lies more than making logical sense.

I think he looks like a fool sitting there laughing at everything Ryan says. It makes him look like a buffoon. Can anyone imagine this guy being president? Dear God.

The word we are looking for is "ass"
If you are watching CNN they show a track of independent voters response to the statements being made and so far Biden is flatlining. Until they started talking about Medicare then the line hasn't really budged.

I'm spending my night reading a book by Carl Sagan. I'm going to step away from all these debates and things. I'll vote when I get my ballot in the mail but that's it.
Maybe cooler heads will prevail one day in politics. An optimist can dream, right?

These moderators of the last 2 debates need to put the reins on the over talk and interruptions. Biden is starting to do better like a bull blowing through a china shop.

I found it odd that Biden didn't thank Ryan, while Ryan did thank Biden.
I wonder how many people picked up on that piece of courtesy?
Biden was complaining about time ....... but Biden got just as much time as Ryan did.
I thought that Biden was kind of smug and dismissive when he laughed when Ryan answered questions. Kind of like Gore's "sighs".
Ryan did always seem to allow Biden the last word though.
I admit to having a bias ....... but those are some of the things that I saw.

That means the same thing as "hope and change".....nothing.
I will say that Biden scored well, but was very disrespectful. Interesting that Biden tossed the the Intelligence guys under the bus for Libya but then said "WE WILL KNOW WHEN IRAN HAS A BOMB!" Hmm....

I think they were about even on "points". No real winner in this debate. The only difference was that one came off like a total ass with his behavior.

I didn't get to see much except for the end. So I'll just sum up what I noticed:
Advantage to Biden on Syria. His big line was what would Romney/Ryan do different. Ryan should have said establish a no-fly zone or at the minimum provide military aid to the opposition who are in line with American interests, but he dropped the ball and just talked about how the administration did a poor job.
Advantage to Ryan on the Russian reset comment. It failed miserably and only made us appear weaker to Russia. Biden really didn't have a defense.
Advantage to Ryan on faith. The First Amendment conflict with Obamacare helps the vantage point that both he and Biden are Catholic.
Advantage to Biden n the personal traits question. It's one of the few places where he appeared professional.

Biden's rude and obnoxious behavior was a direct result of a political strategy based on Obama claiming he lost the first debate because he was too nice.
They will just never admit that Obama lost because his ideas are bad and Biden looked bad because he's a living caricature.

On CNN they are interviewing Biden's son, and the reporter referred to people talking about Biden's (the elder) mannerisms and rudeness ...... and she referred to them as "the chattering classes".

Obama has been getting ripped in the biased left leaning media for being passive and not calling Romney out for his many lies. So i do agree that Bidens strategy was to be aggressive.

Totally unrelated ...... but is there a more appropriately named guy than Austan Goolsbee? If anyone looks like a "Goolsbee" ...... it's him.

You'd be better served reading one of Bill O'Really's books 'Killing Kennedy' or 'Killing Lincoln'. To be sure, I'm no fan of O'Really, but these two books have gotten very good reviews for their accuracy.

Sorry Joe ..... but I don't trust you.

The other part I heard that no one has talked about yet is when Biden mentioned AARP. Didn't they specifically ask not to be used as a reference after the Obama/Romney debate?
As far as content, I think they were about the same. As far as who was more professional, Ryan blew him away. The incessant smiling, laughing, and interrupting by Biden was very, very annoying.

It also was VERY rude and childish. It was also almost like 2 on 1 a couple times there. I didnt think the moderator was completely unbiased. Ryan did a good job, and seemed to be the more mature of the pair.
