Daily Caller -- The 2012 presidential election is still more than two weeks away, but on Friday a CBS News affiliate in Arizona called the race for President Barack Obama. For 17 seconds, Phoenix, Arizona CBS News affiliate KPHO ran a lower third graphic that showed that Obama had won the Nov. 6 election over Gov. Mitt Romney with 99% of the precincts reporting. The lower third graphic appeared around 3:30 p.m. on Oct. 19, during an episode of “The People’s Court.” The CBS News graphic showed Obama winning the election with 43 percent of the vote nationwide to Romney’s 40 percent -– or 40,237,966 votes to 38,116,216. It is unclear who garnered the other 17 percent in the fictional election results. KPHO’s general manager did not return The Daily Caller’s request for comment by time of publication.

Weird, seeing as how Arizona has gone to the republicans in 9 of the last 10 presidential elections ('96 Clinton being the sole exception.) No chance Obama wins Arizona.
I mean, if they hadn't been so specific with numbers, I'd say that perhaps that accidentally aired some test graphics or something... I guess that could still be the case,
When I worked at WCCO TV in Minnesota, we made a mistake like that while testing different graphics to run on the bottom or top of the screen. Of course, back then, that technology was fairly new and everyone was worried about getting it right. So we ran something silly across the bottom of a test screen and damned if it didn't go out over the air.. no problems because we did it at about midnight...

For a minute I was thinking that it might have been using the numbers from one of the elections with Perot involved .... but the numbers are still wrong.
It will be interesting to see how this election actually turns out ....... Gallup has Romney over 50%, and no incumbent has ever won the election when his opponent has over 50% in the Gallup poll at this point in the election. Either Obama loses, or he makes history.

I bet that someone just punched in the names and hit numbers at random during a test. I doubt that there was anything more to it than that.

I think the election outcome has been predetermined by the shadow government that actually controls things and they are now scrambling to make sure the outcome remains the same but that the numbers aren't similar to these, lest people begin getting suspicious.

I assumed KPHO was just testing some new equipment that can broacast faster than the speed of light, unintentionally giving us a glimpse into the future. I just wish they would start broadforecasting the Browns games so I can have my Sundays back.

This was just a test of the EOS, Emergency Obama System, this was only a test. Had this been a real election, the outcome routine of the EOS would have prevented and inevitable catastrophe.
The 17% goes to independent Donald Trump of the Toupee party after revealing that he is in fact the offspring of a George Romney and Barack Obama's Grandmother.

Probably the explanation of what happened. They should have used Bugs Bunny vs Elmer Fudd instead, but maybe they were spell checking to make sure they didn't use Barack Osama and Mitt Rmoney.
