Am asking for everyone to keep my younger brother Randy in their prayers.He had a stroke today and isn't doing to well.

I have, and will keep him in my prayers. Hopefully he will fully recover.

My best friend from High School had a stroke several years ago. Luckily his wife realized what the symptoms were and shoved an aspirin down his throat, and got him to the hospital immediately. He's not 100% recovered, but he is alive and capable of doing almost everything he could do before.

The shame is that he was a really talented artist, and I don't know that he will ever recover to the extent that he will be able to express that talent as he did before.

Man, something must be in the air. I just found out over the weekend that my uncle who has alzheimer's had a slight stroke then yesterday a guy i game with posted on the forums that his dad had a stroke, then this morning i find out that my neighbor who has cancer wasn't doing well so her husband took her to the hospital last night, now this.

Had a good day at the hospital today.My brother is showing signs of improvement and doing things that really surprised me.He still has a long way to go for recovery,but I am encouraged by the things I saw today.Thanks everyone for the prayers,they seem to be working.Please keep them coming.

The advancements in post-stroke treaments over the past 20 years is nothing short of amazing.

Please pray as hard as you can for my brother who suffered a stroke Monday.They have found he has some slight bleeding on the brain and it is swollen some.He needs surgery to fix the arteries in his neck that are blocked,but they can't do that until the swelling goes down.Really need God to touch him.

I pray him, and for you and the rest of your family. I cannot imagine how difficult it must be to go through this.

Update on my Brother for those Interested.

The neuro doctor said he needs surgery to repair the arteries in his neck but are uncomfortable doing the surgery right now.They are going to wait and just start him on basic rehab for now because he is less likely to hemmorage if they wait till the brain is more stable.That doesn't mean it won't but it will be less likely.Still gonna be risky.They did get the swelling of the brain down from 7 cm to 2 cm,which is good.He is answering some questions with hand squeezes but still unable to talk and the right arm still has no movement.He did lift his right leg slightly but other than that there is no movement on the right side.He has been moved out of ICU and into a room. Will keep you posted as much as possible but I haven't been home much.Please keep the prayers coming.I am really nervous about the surgery.
