Nice one!! I got a doe early in bow season. Had a chance at a 4 point, but since it was early, I took the doe instead, thinking "there's plenty of time in the season to get the beautiful 8 pt. or 10 pt. that I have pictures of on my trail cam."

They just all got night vision goggles .......

That would only help them against the poachers - the spotlighters.
Never mind .... I guess not everyone has seen the commercials .........

My grandson and i have both tagged a doe this yr..we hunt with a group...11-13 guys..so far our group has 20 deer..when 1 guy taggs out we bring someone else in or they just drive..we hunt 5 farms and we need this many so we have enough drivers and standers.
we have taken 2 12pts and a really big 9 this yr..
The only reason people get lost in thought is because it's unfamiliar territory.

You got it.

Nice Big doe thursday during gun season, 90 lbs of hamburg & backstraps in the freezer, using my last tag to continue hunting bow thru January, enjoy those late season in the snow hunts, deer are calmer, looking for food alittle more predictable on thier where abouts, enjoy being out in the snow good for the soul.
I missed a doe early bow and then with the time change I didn't have alot of time to make it into the woods.
Opening day of gun season I had the first two days off of work and was sitting in my stand and a six point came along on my right hand side. Wasn't big but I hadn't been seeing alot of deer this year so I figured I would take him down.
Being as im right handed it was hard to get turned to get a good shot so I had to stand up and take aim, he caught me and kind of scattered into the brush. I ended up taking a bad shot and missed him.
Bad shot or not I was furious I missed him. Though it was a blessing in disguise because about an hour later a monster came strolling down the river bank. That morning I could only find 3 slugs (don't know where the rest went) so thats all I had with me. Missed the 6 point so im down to 2 slugs, hoping for a good shot I got him in my scope and fired and missed, he took off running and I dropped him with my last slug. Couldn't have worked out any more perfect. He was a big boy, ten point roughly around 200lbs or so. Just an absolute beautiful buck. Rough scored him myself and came out to 143 (with deductions). Cant wait to get my mount back.
Thanks fellas. Yeah im very happy I missed the 6 point, like I said it couldn't have worked out any better. And not to toot my own horn but I think its a great story too, I mean only being able to round up three slugs that morning and by grace of god making the shot with my very last shell. Im definately proud of that, had it gone the other way and I missed again I would have been sick.
My very first buck too so it holds alot of meaning to me.
