As for the injuries, his knee has been sliced open at least twice. If you think this has no effect on his productivity, god bless ya. The rib injury is used as an excuse,

Seriously? You're cold man. (by the way, his second surgery was well after he was drafted by the way)......but seriously, his rib injury is just an "excuse"?

Hey, since you claim to be such a superior talent rater, exactly what NFL team do you work for?

I'd love to be as naive and faithful with regards to TRich, but to act as if we will EVER see the Bama TRich again, is pretty optimistic imho

I'm curious... what are u actually basing this on?

Everyone,.... Everyone plays a lil banged up in the NFL, especially at the end of the year. And Arthro is not a big surgery.... they just went in and cleaned some things up. I've had it, its a not a big deal.

And how can u be so negative and anti-reason, when you have seen Peterson come back this year aft ACL surgery.... Your position is a complete mystery to me.

Sometimes, this board offers the visitor a chance at some lively, thoughtful discussion.

Sometimes, a thread offers nothing more than an opportunity for a slam-dunk. This thread is of the latter vein, IMHO.

Weeden is the bigger gamble, because so much more is required of an NFL QB than is required for an NFL RB. It's the same argument that places a higher draft premium on choosing someone like Aaron Rodgers over someone like Frank Gore.

All previous arguments aside, ANY pick of a QB is the bigger risk.

RB's can hit the hole, rack up yards, and get themselves to Canton, if they can run behind a halfway decent OL.

A QB must run the entire show... campaign after campaign.... and touches the ball on every snap. As such, that makes his pick a much riskier proposition- every time.

It's why Adrian Peterson is an easy draft pick, and a pick like Tom Brady is 'stroke of genius.'

Picking Weeden at 22 is a MUCH bigger risk than picking TRich at 3.

Just sayin'....

.

I thought it was obvious; the Jaguars of course. Seeing as Blaine Gabbert was DJango's next great QB, a sure fire stud!

Django, as an aside, my wife and I did enjoy you in the new Quentin Tarantino film. Amazing film!

All in good fun -

He doesn't let the facts get in the way. It's a very non-invasive, minor thing actually as you have said. But that wouldn't further his agenda here to present the facts.

Most people who have played the game know someone who has had this done. In 4-6 weeks you're fine. It's nothing even remotely close to the ACL or MCL variety.

But we'll hear, "It's still another knee problem!" Even though clean outs like this are a common accurance.

Of course we're all naive and clueless so what would we know!?

It must still be Christmas!

I take back every bad thing I've ever said about you.

(Until the next post when you don't agree with me, in which case you'll again be a scoundrel and a nincompoop )
