It's not rocket science. Cribbs can catch a football. He can run with the football. It's up to the coach to make that happen. One of Shurmur's biggest issues was that he was so inflexible that he was take any square or diamond-shaped or star-shaped peg and try to jam it into his round hole of a predictable WCO.

So why hasn't any other team snagged Cribbs up if it's just as simple a little coaching?

Why no takers it's not rocket science.

brady Quinn? it was being talked about in this thread. cribs? I would think that some people on the board think he can do better under proper coaching?

Do you and other some people here to think Chud and Norve are capable of doing proper coaching?
If so why did they let him go?
If not they prob wouldn't have used him any better than any of his other coaches have since Cribbs has been here.

I alway thought that the fans were cheering because Brady was coming in the game, not so much that Anderson was injured.

I was there, and that is exactly what I thought.

The media would never offer that angle. It would feed ratings or provide anything to talk about.

And I've heard the media spin it back on other players/teams.

Most fans would NEVER cheer for an injury (I'm looking at you Philly fan).

Yeah, it's a huge break from watching all the original DTers go at each others' throats.

What's funny is that the apparently started some of these arguments on a different board and just moved over here LOL

I think I remember some of us that came here doing the same thing.. Oh well, the more things change, the more they stay the same.

regarding Cribbs...he was signed by Zona but failed their Physical.

So there was interest there...also it was said Pats were interested but we were not told why that didn't go well...could that also have been due to a Physical just not reported???

Unfortunately Cribbs is paying for all those years he played hurt...it took its toll.

I think that Cribbs is paying for all those years that he shot his mouth off. He might have kept a job if the previous regime were here but the new one isn't having any of it.

How many coaches has Cribbs played for... Romeo Crennel, Eric Mangini and Pat Shurmur did they all try to put Cribbs {square peg} into a round hole {their offensive game plan}? Was it all three coaches used him wrong or Cribbs just not have the ability to be nothing more than an average receiver?

Unfortunately for Cribbs, he’s also fumbled at a jaw-dropping rate. His 34 fumbles are the most by a non-quarterback among active players, and 17 of those fumbles have come on his 195 career punt returns. For the sake of comparison, 49ers running back Frank Gore has 30 fumbles on 2,226 career touches. Cribbs’ 34 fumbles have come on 829 touches.

Another red flag: Cribbs has had at least three concussions in his career and his wife wanted him to retire after he sustained his latest in a game at Baltimore last year.

I find it sort of funny that you would claim this:

"How many coaches has Cribbs played for... Romeo Crennel, Eric Mangini and Pat Shurmur"

As a showing a Negative on Cribbs...when I can only ASSume all us fans know that when there is a Regime Change...the dead weight - bottom of the barrel guys are Turn Over meat. And YET there is Cribbs a UDFA Playing for RAC, MANGINI n SHURMUR...but now it is a Negative. Very convenient...lol

Mangini btw was the first one to designate a Position for Cribbs to concentrate n spend more time at - WR...I was hoping RB but I'm not coaching. Still 09, 2010 Cribbs for the first time was learning a position considering he was a QB in college. But in 09 the Regime committed to Robo n Momass as top 50 picks in the draft for WR.

Then came Shurmur...who threw him by the way side...sure he made plays for Shurmur in 2011 only to not get reps in 2012.

Also just to let you know an Unnamed source...got info from a Weeden relative sitting next to them on a plane trip.
1. One was that Trent was playing with 3 cracked ribs...which a couple months later we found that to be true.

2. The other one was that Weeden couldn't understand why Shurmur refuses to utilize Cribbs at WR as he is one of his favorite WRs in practice.

There were a couple of more but I forgot them so they were not that important.

What I was totally disappointed in the Shurmur/Holmgren Offense n I truly don't know who was calling the shots there. Is that it took us 29 games (13th game of the 2012 season) to finally run the FIRST WILDCAT PLAY...I think we gained 12-15 yards in the Red Zone. We tried it once more for like 9 yards. That was it.

Now what has him in the dawg house with this new regime??? I don't know??? maybe protecting Weeden from what Lombardi said of him after the draft??? No clue.

Never said it was a negative I just didn't see Cribbs excell at anything other than ST due to who ever his coach was.

just wonder how many returns gore had? as far as I can tell he never had a punt/kickoff return in his life? by the way. cribs lost 9 fumble in 8 year and gore lost 20 fumble in 8 year.
