Browns | Have interest in Jason Campbell

The Cleveland Browns have expressed some interest in free-agent QB Jason Campbell (Bears), but it does not appear like an agreement is a strong possibility at this point.

He's probably what??? at least 29 already!

Don't judge Campbell by what he did with that Bears line. I'm not saying he's great, but I don't think playing behind those guys is a good meter of anyone's skill.

I have no problem with signing Campbell. I like the idea of having a veteran as the #2 Qb who can acatually help the #1 guy get prepared each week. Campbell can do that. I do not believe McCoy can.
Am I perfect? No Am I trying to be a better person? Also no

Jay Cutler might be the best QB in the NFL then. He wasn't great last year, but he was pretty average. Campbell? he was terrible.

Jason Campbell -- not horrible.
Brandon Weeden last year -- almost horrible.
Come on man....Weeden wasn't almost horrible. He had a pretty darn good rookie year.
I think some of you look at his age and think that should impact his results.....well it doesn't.
Let's see what happens this year. If he doesn't get better by game 8-10, I am right there with you.

When comparing Weeden to other QBs he was pretty bad.
When comparing him to a traditional rookie QB he was about average.

Chefs fans had to watch Brady Quinn set back QB play by about 8 decades.
Man ... I just looked up Quinn's play for last year. 10 games played, 8 starts ...... only 1141 yards passing ..... (142 yards/game, even if the partial games aren't counted) 2 TS, and 8 INT, and 5.79 yards/pass.
He sucked even worse than I thought. Man. Joe Montana he's not.
Remember when almost everyone thought Quinn was going to be great?
My biggest fear is that Weeden in another in a long line of stinky qbs the Brown's have had. I just don't see the skill set. Wasting another year on him could really hurt us.
On the other hand, it would be outstanding if does make it. I just don't see it.

I understand what you are saying Vers.......you know me, I don't like to waste time, but at this time I don't see any real options and do think it a bit premature to just write the guy off.
There is nobody to take at #6 unless you just want to throw darts and hope.
I would rather just get more good players and see if the guy continues to improve. By game 9, if not, I promise, he is my new Couch. I'll be on it like a terrior on a rat, just like I did some years back.

I don't remotely remember any passion for Jason Campbell. Possibly in some debate over his ability??? But I never coveted him for the Browns...if I did I apologize But sorry I don't remember ever lovin him. Let alone the "Man Crush" thing. ??? RG3 I had a big man crush before anyone else.
Defense wins championships. Watson play your butt off! Go Browns! CHRIST HAS RISEN! GM Strong! & Stay safe everyone!
