I am pretty sure that Pennington and Brees are soft tossers that made the ProBowl.

But they have elite accuracy, something Frye does not have at this point, and probably never will.

Hey PPE.........ever think about starting a new board and inviting only those of us who were here when this place first opened up?

Jesus..........look at this thread! It is beyond idiotic.

This board is looking more and more like the other one.

Just clickin. Well it seems to me that we BROWNS fans are still divided on our QB issues, pretty much has been that way since 1999. So, this tells me that we are not set at QB and I, for one, don't have overwhelming confidence in any of the QB's on our roster.

Now Frye could get better if we put a good team around him but will his getting better be good enough to lead us to the Super Bowl??? Don't even get me started on Anderson and Dorsey. UGH!

Now I think Green, for the right price that would not hit the Browns hard in the short or long term could be good for 2 seasons if we draft Russell, Quinn, or another QB in the next draft or 2. However, I really don't want Quinn at all, now I am a bit curious about Russell and I think he could fall to us if the Raiders take Johnson and the Lions take Thomas (which is who I want for us really bad.)

I see us taking Thomas or one of the QB's (Russell over Quinn is my thought) or trading down if the right deal is offered, if not, and Russell and Thomas are gone then I see us taking Peterson or Johnson.

OK, back to the QB debate. Comparing Frye to any proven S.B. winner/H.O.F QB is silly. He's done nothing to show that he has anything even remotely near the talent level of any number of QB's that fall into the H.O.F. category or even the S.B. winning category.

I think Frye will get one more season to start but if he does not show solid improvement then he will be replaced in 2008. Maybe sooner if Phil pulls a vet into the fold and I think he's considering this a lot.

If you gave Frye WR's like Irvin and Harper, a RB like Emmitt, a solid O line and a solid Defense I'm still do not believe he would reach the level of QB that a championship team needs to have. Though I'm sure he would imrprove some, just not as much as some would hope.

First off, why so harsh on Toad??

Because I [censored]slapped a pathetic attempt to say:

"Troy Aikman can do it...........so can Frye!"

If he sticks around long enough to figure out that such a poor attempt won't last 30 seconds, he'll have half the game figured out

Mensa, maybe my dubious reputation precedes me, but it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that a rock ain't a carrot. Next time you'll think twice before trying that crap

I'm all for Frye getting another shot, but even the most ardent Frye supporter should be embarassed to read that half-hearted attempt.

Bottom line: That was seriously the wrong way to fight for Frye's cause. Stick with the fair line which is that it'd be nice to see him get a few games behind a line that isn't leaking water. There's no need to embelish.

***Gordon, I really didn't think you could be this stOOpid, but you exceeded my expectations. Wussy.
Manziel, see Josh Gordon. Dumbass.***

But most of you are right on here. We should dump Frye now because he's not a stud after 2 years so that means he'll never be any good.

Sarcasm at it's best Frye could be the next Brian Sipe, or he could be the next Kelly Holcomb. The truth is he has not had enough time to prove himself either way.
