The board seems a bit slow right now, just wait until draft day. EVERYONE comes out to play that day (or night).

I remember finding this place by accident a little while after the Official Board changed its format from something like this---to that Browns Chat crap...
I stayed on the official site for a little while, then somehow, through Google, I found this site.......and I stayed on ever since, though l post a whole lot less than I used to....
I wish to wash my Irish wristwatch......

I heard about this site from when they were dismantling the old board. I tried browns chat for a couple of days until I couldn't stand it anymore and came here.

Welcome..... Boards are slow now, but pick up during prime NFL events (Draft, camp, season) Political threads are very much like campaigns... alot of mud slinging, yelling, masked insults, etc. Actually, come to think of it, that is pretty much all threads. Except the one subject matter we all seem to agree unanimously on....QBs
We don't have to agree with each other, to respect each others opinion.

Nah, I would say swish(a) would be more of a libbytarian than a commie! I'm from the other board also, been a fan since '80. 45 years old now and still hangin' in there!

I should say to all the new posters that are coming over from the browns site,, we feel your pain,, we know the feeling of abandonment that you feel today. We are here today because they did the same things to us a bunch of years ago that they did to you today.
But for the actions of a selfless person to build this site, pay for it out of his own pocket, never tell us we NEEDED to pay anything, we'd be be right there with you.
If you look at the top of this site, it has a PayPal button,, Give what you can. Believe me, this board is very professionally run. Issues crop up from time to time, but overall, this is so much better moderated then the old board. It's run by a person that has more common sense than those on the Browns Site.
From a Technical stand point, the owner of this site is "Right on the beam" when things need addressed.
So, while it's not required, it's desired. Help if you can.. drop a dime on the guy. he deserves it.

I still have the letter that was posted stating all the frustration about the crappy message board software that was used.
I don't really know how they lived with that forum....
And I will just echo Damanshot's comment. If you can and are able to donate to the cause it would be helpful. The site is here because we as a collective choose to be here. There is a lot of personal time donated to keeping the site going.
Besides, it gets rid of the ads.

Just like to say hello to everyone here im here from the other Browns boards. Had same name over there. I been a Browns fan for a little over 10yrs now(i am 30 now). I grew up a Steelers fan but now hate them more than anything. My love for the Browns is unquestionable and my hope is to see some winning football within the next yr or 2...

First off,I would like to thank the Dawg Talkers message board for having all of us castoffs from the Browns site chat board.1 thing I didn't see was a way to monitor certain members posts.I like to follow certain posters and getting email notification of their posts was helpful.Also,I did something wrong if I had to register under a new account.Even though it was only a hundred or so posts,I would have liked to just move my account. I was brownsfanatic55 over there. Thanks again.

If I am understanding you correctly, I would say that the 2 boards are separate entities, and require individual registration. You can change your displayed name to the same name you used on the other board if you want by clicking on "My Home", then on "Personal Information", then change your display name and submit.
Or you are perfectly free to keep your new name if you choose.
P.S. I am sure that a ref will move this thread into the "General Discussion" forum ..... just so you don't wonder where things went.

LOL I think most all of us are cast offs from the other board. Some of us were cast aside many years ago,, it was just your turn. We were mostly all cast aside in September 2006. That's when they changed over the look of the board from this look to what you saw. most of us just didn't like the look and didn't like the feel of the the "NEW" Board so we left.
Funny thing is, I seem to remember it showed something like 4000 members before they switched looks, then shortly after, it jumped to 6000 members. Not sure, but so darn many of us jumped over here and just never left.
Funny thing, while that board has gone through what appears to be many ups and downs, this one has remained constant.
