.5? Really?

No kidding. The clock was at .4 when the ball was in the net.

And of course we now have the quintessential Charles Barkley hating on the bad call for the charge on Iowa St. At least the other guys have level heads about the other bad calls throughout the game.

I'm just glad we won't face anymore shot chucking teams.

Arizona is going to be a VERY tough team. They are athletic and extremely talented.

I have Arizona in the DT Blind Draw ....... so never fear, they will lose.

So if a studio analyst won a title in his playing days, that makes him smarter than everyone else on the set? Chuck is there to be controversial, that's it. Aside from him bashing Cleveland a lot, I think he's a good fit in the studio.

It was a bang bang play. He wasn't wrong in questioning it. Well, unless you've got scarlet tinted glasses on.

I actually dislike the charge more than anything in basketball. Look, there are places where I understand it. But 85% of the time, it's a defender throwing himself in the way of an offensive player that's already chosen his path to the basket. I don't think a defender should be rewarded with a charge when it's a reactionary move (regardless of where you're standing). If you're guarding an area and an offensive player comes to you, sure call that. I would prefer the refs to call the game a bit more offensive-minded.

Oh well.

I don't think it was really the game-changing call either. That possesion call on the other end was closer (it was still going to be Buckeye ball from the only replay I saw - but it was close). And if I was the Iowa St. coach, I would have been FREAKING out about the guy that ran onto the court when there was time left. Maybe that's never called, but you could see the reaction of the bench and the player himself....."crap, I hope nobody saw me!"

A tip of the cap goes to Craft. To be the guy that faultered down the stretch to then hit the J to win it. Must be a great feeling.

It was a bad call, but they are really making it out to be more than what it was.

Hey if you're Iowa State and want to make the big time how about running something a little more original than zone D and the chuck shot offense? Pathetic.

I have Duke, OSU, Kansas, and Indy in my FF and I still hate my bracket. I hated it even before today when 3 of the 4 dodged losses.

I went with Ohio State because I didn't really like anyone else that much, but it's going to be really tough for them to win it all. Double win if they get the championship though.

What Kansas did in the second half was damn impressive.

Imagine if Kansas had played like that in the first (didn't they only have one three pointer going into the half?), wow did they come alive. I have Louisville, Kansas, and Indiana in my final four. Had Gonzaga there too so I'm down to three remaining as well.

Is it just me or do Florida GC and SDSU look like two of the top teams in the tourney this year? This game is crazy good.

The winner of this game might be a final four quality team.

Didn't get to see much of SDSU, but if you didn't put FGCU on their jerseys, you would think they were a decent to pretty good team in a major conference just playing well at the right time. What an awesome story.

The numbers would prove otherwise, and you would have seen that stat brought up in multiple sources, that the MW IS the 1# rated RPI conference in the country. But that would require KNOWING something about the MW which you don't seem to have in the least.

I'm not taking a swipe at all at the Big 10. Its a tough conference for sure, but they are not the only conference of relevance, and to simply laugh off something you don't have a concept of, is NOT an argument.

Here's a fun stat

No Argument at all. MWC didn't come to play. When the lights were the brightest, they shunned it. Could have been glorious- instead its now set the credibility back 10 years. Sad

Your lobos balled and the conference was strong in the regular season. There just wasn't a "great team." Just a bunch of good teams.

Yeah, I don't know what Bill Self told them at halftime, but whatever he said definitely helped flip the switch on. They came right out of the tunnel ready to go.

I really can't wait for this next set of games. Outside of L'ville/Oregon, I love all the matchups. I dunno if the Ducks will be ready for that type of game.

MSU/Duke
Zona/OSU
Michigan/Kansas
FGCU/Florida
Syrcase/Indiana
Marquette/Miami

Even LaSalle and Wichita is going to be fun.

It's theoretically possible we get an all Big Ten final four. LOL

I do find it funny that Colin Cowherd could barely give the B1G any credit after the weekend.

I don't listen to his show, but WKNR for some reason, always plays these extended snippets of his show during commercials. About a month ago he said the Big Ten wasn't all that great, just deep. He also said that no more than 1 team, probably Indiana, would make it to the sweet sixteen.

Whoops.

I checked his twitter timeline last night, and the only thing he could muster up was something about how the big ten got tired of being the guy with the fat ankles, and got on the treadmill. Really?

His latest snippet is pretty hilarious. Calling out Cleveland, and other cities that lost NBA superstars. Saying when people say they aren't mad at the fact that LBJ left, it's how he left is complete crap and they'd hate him anyway. His reasoning was that LBJ left with no warning, Carmelo left with a warning, and Dwight left being wishy washy.

He convienently left out the whole doing a self-promoting tv special to announce where he was going, pocketing a nice chunk of change, all while using kids as a human shield.

That would pit Michigan Vs. Indiana and tOSU Vs. MSU ... I would love it and I can see tOSU beating Indiana for our 1st NC since 1960 ... Matta deserves a Title ... JMHO

I think:

elite8:
Louisville v. Michigan State
Ohio State v. Wichita State
Michigan v. Florida
Miami v. Syracuse

Final-4:
Ohio State v. Michigan State
Florida v. Syracuse

Championship:
Ohio State over Syracuse

Only Michigan and Wichita State differ from my original bracket too

I wonder what the odds are of that? It would have to be at least 400 to 1. I wonder if that's even possible to wager on.

It'd be the equivalent of a hitting a 12 team parlay.

Actually My Original bracket is still In Tack For The Final Four: I Had It:

tOSU vs. MSU
Indiana vs. Florida

tOSU defeating Indiana 63-55

To be fair, Colin Cowherd isn't really 'wrong' about the Big Ten ... Yet.

Will he be wrong? It's certainly possible, but so far..

Michigan State - Valparasio, Memphis
Ohio State - Iona, Iowa State
Michigan - Akron, VCU
Minnesota - UCLA
Indiana - James Madison, Temple
Illinois - Colorado

So far, Michigan beating VCU is the only impressive win they've really had.

This weekend ....

Michigan plays Kansas
Ohio State plays Arizona
Michigan State plays Duke
Indiana plays Syracuse

Say they go 0-4 in those games and send 0 teams to the Elite 8, is Cowherd really wrong with what he said?

**For the record, I think Ohio State wins the National Championship (excuse me while I go shower) ... I'm just saying, if they would go 0-4 on Thursday/Friday, I'd say Cowherd was right***

Cowherd said only 1 team would make the sweet sixteen.

And as far as the tournament goes have any of the bigger teams beaten anyone? Only the low seeds have beaten good teams, because they've had to play good teams. I don't count Kansas beating UNC this year anything special. Duke hasn't beaten anyone. Louisville hasn't beaten anyone. Syracuse, Florida, Miami, etc... All haven't beaten anyone huge.

The B1G could go 0'fer as easily as they could go 4-0. Just about all of these games are too close to call right now.
