[color:"orange"]As you posted this thread DaMan I was having my surgery (11/30/06) not heart related for a change...but it involved my lower region so that I can say posting is a real pain in the balls...literally not figuratively
Prayers out to you as I type this for your recovery...hope yours is as successful as mine was. But the pain totally sucks...so far day 2 is way better than day 1. Can't drive for 2 weeks...your Z ain't going anywhere you'll be enjoying the ride soon enough. You can't believe how much stress there is involved with driving Daman.
I'm here posting waiting for 6:30 so I can take my pain meds again...lol
You should be in your overnight recovery - I truly love nurses they are the greatest. Oh if you get bored...I'm sure you'll be hooked up to a heart rate machine on rollers as they will want you to take walks...try to look at the machine and make your heart rate go down as low as possible...I got it to 54
Oh and prayers out to you as you are in the Cleveland Clinic...don't get a staph infection!!!!
Good luck - I'm one day ahead of you.

Hope you are truly doing well. Follow the medical advice and realize now what things are most important in life.....family and health. I'm sure you will be back working on both of them soon.
Just remember if you fall asleep and see a bright light beaconing you to walk towards it....run the other way...you do want to see the Browns in the Super Bowl in 2008 don't you??

Just talked to Damanshot and he's recovering slowly. Sounds like he's really enjoying all the entertainment possiblities there at the Clinic Should be hooked up with a laptop soon and will join in on all the fun. Til then, he wanted me to say hello to all for him.
Seriously, sounds like that surgery really rocked him. Here's to a quick and smooth recovery...

Thanks for the update I was hoping there'd be some news. If is safe to say his main source of entertainment at the moment is pushing that button for the pain meds?

Thanks for the update Iam. I had hoped that Daman would be comfortable by now. I'd forgotten how painful recovering from surgery is.

From what I've heard this is one of the most painful surgeries.

Thanks for the update Iam. I had hoped that Daman would be comfortable by now. I'd forgotten how painful recovering from surgery is. Dear Santa, Please let the Browns win 2 in a row for Daman and if we should loose let his IV be filled to the brim with Morphine to make his pain warm and jolly. SBD

WOW, that my friends is what i call a Long Week...
I don't remember the last time I was in that much pain....
But, the good news is, I made it AND the Browns Won and my good friends on this board rememembered me in thier prayers.... What could be better than that?
Iam was correct, I don't know why exactly, but this surgery knocked the crap outta me. The meds helped but bottom line, everything south of my belt line stops working for a few days and man that causes a host of problems..
My recovery is expected to take 4 to 6 weeks and is expected to be full and complete... YES,,,,COMPLETE
I got home earlier today, but to be honest, I didn't have the strength to sit down and post or even read any threads till now. I got my meds, took them and then fell asleep for a while...
as you can see my mind is wondering from topic to topic so thats tell me I need to lay down again,,,
A THANKS TO EVERYONE,,,,,,,
