He's an inside guy. We've alot of guys still here. Forte, Robertson, JMJ, But hey maybe he comes in making the transition smoother. I thought maybe Harrison at a bargain price might come in but maybe Dansby would have the upper hand.
who knows.

Maybe should have said guys who could probably play there...

I thought people were going to wait a couple months to sign Fred Davis as he recently had surgery and can't pass a physical or at least what I read somewhere..I think people will look at him more so down the road

Yeah I knew he was re-habbing but wasn't sure how far along he has been coming. I read that Washington has intentions of re-signing him so he must be coming along pretty well.

Healthy he is an extremely talented tight end. I'd definately like to bring him in if and when he can pass a physical.

IMO no way Fred Davis leaves D.C. if he is healthy and they have the cap space to bring him back

Davis did say he was happy in Washington. On the other hand Washington has been looking at TE's. If Washinton ends up signing a TE and Davis is healthy I wonder if that will be enough to make Fred Davis "un-happy" and seek employment elsewhere.

Just a scenario I was thinking about.

Tru I am surprised to that we havent heard any interest in OGs. I was expecting us to go after a S also.

Toller signed a 3yr 15m with Indy but that the only CB news I have heard. Have we had any CBs in for a visit? Thought there would be some news after all the supposed interest we had in the 72 hour build up.

OG Levitre signed by the Titans. Loadholt resigned with Vikes.

1OldMutt,

I know Dansby is inside but I just don't feel we have any impact inside guys. Dansby might be a good stop gap. Harrison? Hmm, kinda mixed emotions on him. Consider him a dirty player, but on the other hand wish the Browns had some LBr's that strike fear into opponents. Perhaps he could teach the young pups how to play with intensity?

Neither. Rotation and depth in addition to Horton running 3+ linemen fronts, and running them often.

Saw that, good signings for both of them. Huge contract for Levitre he should be good in Tenn. I meant news regarding OGs and CBs for us. My fault I should have been more specific.

Haven't heard anything. But I'd love him and that Captain Munderland. Grab those two guys, and look for a safety (Quintin Mikell? Ed Reed?). Add in Dustin Keller and we're set to draft whoever

That would make me happy with this FA

I'm not sure but I believe Dansby played for the Cardinal-D with Horton.

Dansby's last year with the Cardinals was 2009. Horton's first year with the Cardinals was 2011. So they did not over lap.

Well, Our D is going to look really different. We needed someone From AZ to transition the D.

I remember I wanted this guy when he came out of college. I guess I got my wish lol

EDIT:

I guess this signing really hurts 1/2 the depth LB's on our team. maybe we won't mess with guys like Sheard. He is such a beast that I can't imagine they won't use him. Groves didn't start that many games last year- maybe they only view him as a backup?

From the PFT post...

Last season "Groves had career highs in tackles (46) and sacks (four) while playing in all 16 games and starting seven."

I love what they (Browns) are doing, I just hope we get some Secondary help in FA too, but if there isn't one worth getting then there isn't one worth getting. Hopefully we can get Milliner @6 but I have a feeling we will have to trade up to 4 to get him.

I would expect that we'll probably sign a CB and a S ...... plus a TE and maybe a WR on the other side.

So far good signings, Would like to see some CB signed here, We can always pick up a guard in the draft, and there cheeper in the draft.

Amen to this, Clay. Decent guards are running in the neighborhood of $7 MM per.

Put me in with the group that wants some secondary help.

Plenty of solid corners out there. I'm hoping for Sean Smith, but he doesn't seem to be on our radar. I'd definitely prefer a CB with size. Would help in the red zone and against the bigger wideouts.

With Levitre and Vasquez gone, the draft seems the most likely way to add an OG. This is a position that IMO, we really need to address...

Anyone hearing rumors? I've heard rumblings of Saints giving up a draft pick for one of our D-tackles....

I would not be surprised to see us sign 2 CB's 2 TE's (Watson Could Be One) 1 S and 1 OG ... JMHO

Not that this is related to the signings that have been made, but would anyone else want to try to pick up a legitimate fullback? I mean, we let Vickers go and Alex Smith, an old TE did the blocking last season. Was he really that good or would it benefit us to go after someone at a good value price? Personally I would be happy if we picked up a new fullback either in FE or the draft.

Braden Wilson of Kansas State is my favorite in the draft. I want another guy who will knock you flat on your butt. He's that guy.

Not sure on Fred Davis saga...I know Washington cut Deangelo Hall to clear some money as they are strapped all rumors I've heard have them going for a CB or two...could leave very little money to ink Fred Davis..

Been really surprised we haven't been linked to any guards...I thought Levitres contract seemed reasonable for the no.1 ranked pass protecting guard in the NFL...Titans got a good deal...I didn't see where Vasquez went...anyone know?

Heyward Bey is easily an upgrade on MoMass..remember he was a very raw wideout coming out of Maryland more of a track star...his best football is ahead of him..still really young really
fast..will split the top like a poor mans Mike Wallace...I'd love to ink him

Far as FBs..not sure who's out there Greg Jones I know but he was in the 04 draft class..so he's maybe a little too old for our likes...I like Tommy Bohanan from Wake..prolly go undrafted but versatile...anyone remember that back Arkansas had when Knile Davis got hurt...Ronnie Johnson I think is his name...played great when Knile was injured then Knile got his job back...Ronnie was moved to TE and FB..high effort player and when he played RB for Arkansas he ran a 4.20! Someone to keep an eye on late in the draft
