Until we win and show that we have continuity n stability here - we will not be an attractive place to come. WRs n TEs...big time is who our QB is...Gosh we have not had one since 99

The only ones that I feel we have a shot at is those from Northern Ohio who grew up Browns fans n would love to bring us to prosperity ergo La Charles.

Kruger testimony to Horton n Chud specifically Horton to make us an attractive place for him to take the next step. Also the fact he chose the Browns...come on Dawgs...he has a nice chip on his shoulder as in KICK THE RAVENS BUTT

CBs? how many under 30? I think we were told by Agents on a couple - Thanks but No Thanks.

TE came here cause of Chud. Davis...we probably gave the best deal.

Fred Davis...hehehe he promised he will make us regret not signing him (broad stroke on those presumed should be interested) well I hope he gets the chance...SB baby lol

JMHO - the only thing the Browns got right now...is the GREAT FANS to play for and I am being serious!

I am not going to worry too much about us not signing a plsyer coming off a major injury that is hard to recover from.

I like Fred Davis, the healthy player. He is a great TE, and has exceptional speed and receiving ability. How he does coming off an injury that many players never recover from?

Same thing with Grimes. A healthy Grimes is an exceptional signing. Grimes coming off an achilles injury might, or might not ever be what he once was, and might not even be as good as good as Brown was last year.

I dunno. Both guys are talented players ...... but both have major problems that may not be solvable.

I suspect that we will address both DB and TE in the draft, and we might be better off for doing so.

We're trying to throw the ball downfield and he checked the ball down to Trent Richardson and the Indians on the choice.

I would guess that they had to figure out a way to free up cap space this year. They must believe that Romo still has life in his arm, and that resigning him makes sense.

According to a report I just saw, he got $55 million in guarantees. That's a lot, but shouldn't completely handcuff the Cowboys going into the future. His 2013 salary was sue to be $11 million or so, with a cap number of almost $19 million ..... so I would bet that they brought that down a lot in year one of his new deal.

http://www.latimes.com/sports/sportsnow/...ension-20130329,0,3501304.story

http://www.spotrac.com/nfl/dallas-cowboys/tony-romo/

According to this site, the Romo deal results in a new cap cost of $11 million, whch would free up almost $8 million in cap space. It also helps the Cowboys satisfy the requirement to spend 95% of the cap in cash for this year.

Kolb joins another team to continue his saga as a failure at QB. And I can't believe there were people who were pimping Kolb to come here.

Kolb signs two years with the Bills:

2 year 12-13 million. I guess they could still go after a first round rookie but seems a bit unlikely now.

$12-$13 million ....... for Kevin Kolb?????

Who were they competing against? Themselves and the Invisible Man?

Campbell looks better and better with each passing moment.

No doubt. I would for sure rather have had Campbell than Kolb. Each team that Kolb goes to he stinks up. Kolb's agent must be one of those "able to sell ketchup popsicle to a girl in white" ordeals...

There were some reports that Oakland wanted Kolb. Not sure why. I don't get why Buffalo ditched Fitzpatrick for him. Plus, most mocks I've seen have the Bills taking a QB at #8.

And that means that the Bills are drafting a QB at #8? Because that's what the mock drafts say?

Personally, I think they're looking at their QB in the 2nd with Ryan Nassib. His old coach in Syracuse is in Buffalo now and I know that he likes the kid. They wouldn't be giving up the first rounder for a QB and would be able to use it for something more desperately needed like replacement for Levitre at G or a pass rusher from the RDE spot or even a trade back to add more picks.

There are some draft experts that had Buffalo taking Nassib at #8. You're scenario makes alot more sense.

I don't know if they're taking a QB or not, and I don't necessarily think what the mocks say will actually happen. But, they can't think Kevin Kolb is the answer, imo. BTW, Grossi's most recent mock has them taking Nassib at #8, not in the 2nd Rd. That's a little crazy.

Also, isn't Mario Williams their RDE?

Yeah, I really don't think they're going to reach that badly when they can probably get him in the 2nd round.

Mario Williams is coming off the left side, I think. If I'm confused about that, then they could draft their LDE at the #8 spot.

And Grossi is an imbecile anyway plus he's no better than the others because his opinion is reliant upon all the others.

Buffalo won't take Nassib at #8. I'm not sure that any team will consider him in the first round. With the plethora of teams either signing QBs or looking at them, it's very likely that most of the QBs will fall through the first round, including Nassib.

Kolb signed a 5 year deal worth $64 million, that had $21 million guaranteed when he was traded to the Cardinals. Now he gets a 2 year deal worth $12-$13 million.

This guy is like Bernie Madoff. Somehow he gets people to give him their money ...... and they get nothing in return.

the Kolb hate here is silly. the guy couldn't stay healthy. when healthy, he was below average, but he isn't terrible either.

his injury last year is a big part of why we have Horton as our DC right now though, so I'm not complaining.

I don't hate him .... I just don't think that he's any good as a QB.

The Cardinals did seem to give him the Alex Smith treatment last year, and lessened his overall importance to the offense ..... cutting him back to under 200 passing yards/game .... and he was able to out up 8 TD to only 3 INT ...... but he also had almost no impact .... then got hurt. Imagine being a QB with Larry Fitzgerald at your disposal ..... and out of almost 200 pass attempts you could only create 13 plays of 20+ yards in the passing game. What a waste of a great talent. The Cardinals should be ashamed of themselves. Fitzgerald could have been one of the greatest of all time (and he still is up there, don't get me wrong) ..... but they keep saddling him with junk at the QB position. I hope, for his sake, that Bruce Arians can work some kind of magic and give him some kind of quality QB play.

I guess that depends on what you mean by impact...

Kolb was 4-0 starting this year I believe...

Yeah, but you have to look inside what happened, and why.

In the first game, Kolb came in at the very end after Skelton was hurt.

In game 2, he "beat" the Patriots by throwing for 140 yards. He did a solid job in the game, but much like Alex Smith, or Colt McCoy as a rookie, he was very carefully managed, and not allowed to lose the game.

In game 3, the Cardinals beat Philly, and Kolb did have a nice game, throwing for 222 yards.

Game 4 was against a vastly overrated Dolphins team. He threw for 300+ yards, and 3 TD, with 2 INT.

Game 5 saw the Cardinals really put the ball in Kolb's hands. They learned from game 4. They scored 3 points as Kolb threw 50 times.

In game 65, Kolb's last game of the year, he threw for 128 yards. He threw a TD, and an INT.

That was his final game of the season.

I would rate the drive he had in the 1st game as excellent. Game 2 was OK/bleh No mistakes, but no big plays either.. Game 3 was good. Game 4, despite the gaudy stats, was just so-so. Game 5 was lousy. Anytime a QB throws 50 times and you score nothing but a single FG, he wasn't effective. Game 6 was bleh.

That was his season.

I am not impressed by QB play on that scale. It doesn't win consistently. Not in today's NFL. Alex Smith played better than Kolb, and more consistently to boot. He was not the reason the Niners won games, and he was replaced because he was just a placeholder. Ditto for Kolb. He is a placeholder. He might be the QB when the team wins a game here or there, but he has not been a guy who truly helps his team win games with any degree of consistency at all. His team had to minimize his impact in order to win games. That's not what I want in a QB. I want a QB who has the ability to attack the opposition, and take over a game when he has to. That's not Kolb, not based on anything he's done so far in his career, and not based on his displayed strengths and weaknesses.

kid struggles to catch the ball with his hands.

He will help the Colts in Stretching the field regardless if he catches the ball or not...he will go long...of course Luck will have to get more than 2 seconds to get the ball to him n he will get hit making that throw.

There is a reason an Early First Round prospect is not THE FA WR to go get. He struggles to catch the ball. Where is Quincy Morgan?

Less than two years ago the Raiders traded a first round pick and a second round pick for Carson Palmer. Today they traded Palmer for a conditional 7th round pick in 2014.

That right there is value.

So the Browns got more back for McCoy then the Raiders did for Palmer. Didn't see that one coming.
