\can you tell me where you found that out? -Dawson talking out both sides of his mouth?

I've never read anything like that and I would like to read about that.

Well , personally I have always liked Dawson and would love to see him finish his career in Cleveland....That said , without reading this whole thread , it appears that he is being accused of talking out of both sides of his ***....IMHO , only IF that is true and the back & forth to get him resigned is just Not worth our effort would I let him go....Otherwise I would sign him ASAP....He is on track to be the best kicker statistically in Browns History....Unless there is a SERIOUS rift between him and the Front Office , I just don't see how we could let him go.

I don't think that Phil is saying anything at all. Nothing. And in this media frenzy world where if the Media doesn't get a comment, then it's an automatic indictment.

I have not heard or read a word that Phil is credited with saying that indicates he does or doesn't want to be here. He's not talking and in the abscence of his voice, the media and fans think anything they want.

So I don't know how you or anyone else can get that he's talking out of both sides of his mouth when in fact, he's not talking at all.

Same old same old on the lake

I disagree. We seem to have a solid nucleus of young players for the first time in these 13 going on 14 years. The SF 49ers went through about as much turmoil, while restocking on young players.

Yep. 14 years of zilch. And, no, the Niners are not a fair comparison. They haven't gone through 14 years of zilch. Same old same old on the lake.

How long? How long must we sing this song....?

Thank you. Maybe since was are in central Ohio and not as greatly affected by the nauseous fumes coming off of the lake or the river we have more of our wits about us. Yes. How long? How long must we sing this song....?

ok, so the fact that the 49ers had 2 winning seasons in 12 years is so much better than the fact we have had 2 winning seasons in 14 years and there is no way anyone could make a possible connection to them going to a youth movement that helped pull them out of it to the Browns going to a youth movement (no idea if it will work, but the connection is there).

whatever makes you happy about being negative man.

To be fair, their two most important skill position players have been there since '05 (Gore) and '06 (Davis).

good point and true. they are a couple years ahead of us (keeping to the example), so we would have to point to our OL foundation on offense for comparison w/ '07 (Thomas) and '09 (Mack).

the 49ers later bolstered their OL in '09 by drafting Iuputi and Anthony Davis in the 1st round much like we did our offensive weaponry in 2012 with Richardson and Gordon.

Patriots players that are still on the team that were on the team in 2009:

Tom Brady
Logan Mankins
Vince Wilfork
Jerod Mayo
Stephen Gostowski
Rob Ninkovich
Matt Slater

A few more than us, but still pretty crazy.
