Thought we should keep the other thread to just picks...heard last year it took 4 threads to get the Mock done. Maybe we can keep all the Chatter here regarding the picks.

@Throw Long - Are we allowed to Trade Picks???

Currently Chiefs #1 is on the clock - Assuming the first Left Tackle will be going...if not then possibly Floyd???

Refs if this thread is not accepted by the participants...please go ahead n shut it down. Just trying to keep the other one fairly Congested Free.

Obviously, we have had a failure to communicate. Kansas City's pick time is up. I received no PM from Mutt with his pick. What do you guys want to do? Put off the start? Or make Mutt's only pick until the third round? He was a good participant last year.

did you PM him? I'd give a little bit more of wiggle room as it's the opening of the draft, but, at some point, we'll have to begin.

if we do start w/o him, we can give him one of the doubled-up team selections so he can play along.

It is not like this is the middle of the 4th round and there is a best player still available which would fill an obvious, still unadressed, team need.

There is not even a #1 Andrew Luck type this year.
What time of day is Mutt usually online?

I tend to agree with giving him time as is first pick in draft, yet after starting my opinion is that we have to stick firm to 3 hour mark to keep integrity of draft. This is how works in real life, although just my opinion, as newbie here don't wanna step on toes or make enemies.

Whats always worked well in the past is to send a list of your top 5 or 6 picks when you are 5 away from your slot if you think you will not be around when it looks like your pick might pop up.

I take it that you got my PM. For the contingency that I'm somehow unable to login later.

You have my selection information.

Any news on our draft? When are planning to start, and I'm guessing the picks will be on the other post, correct?

On a funny side note, I came on here around 11 to check on the draft. I wanted to make sure it wasn't getting close to my pick. So just glancing at the title and clicking on it (while my mind was off somewhere else) the first thing that pops up is DjangoBrown posting the start of the 3rd round.

I'm thinking "what the..!" I didn't receive a pm....and wow these guys don't mess around when it comes to gm mock drafts, they're already in the third round! Needless to say, after reading it the light bulb came on and figured out I was in the wrong post haha.

I know I started the thread, but I don't feel any ownership of the draft. If you guys want to move on that's your call. I'm not sure what happened with Mutt. I wish he'd have PM'd me his pick last night if he wasn't going to be on. OTOH, we've waited most of the day, might want to see if he realizes the draft started today after working hours.

We should IMO give the man couple hours after normal working time, not like we all haven't forgotten a thing or two before, but also IMO should start this evening at some point, with a reminder to all that once started goin to move forward at 3 hr rule.

Who do we have as far as moderation goes? I know last year I submitted a few lists of picks to Steve, but is he the one doing that again or did others volunteer for that knowing they'd be online? Sorry for not reading and knowing the answer.

I don't mind taking big boards and making the picks for people. Goodness knows I always have this page open on my phone anyways.

Sorry for not getting my site application up on time. It's about 90% done and we wouldn't have to worry about any of this.

I would suggest outlining a nighttime time limit waiver so people don't have to be picking at 3 or 4 in the am. Say 10 pm to 7am? Maybe 11-6?

I think the original thread called out 9a - 9p eastern time for the picks, with a 3 hour limit.

Sorry SteelHack. I typically don't. Mostly due to political viewpoints.

Thanks, I'll change it for the mock draft.

I think the rules stated that the draft would be from 9am-9pm EST. After that time, I think that the rules might slide a bit. Meaning, the next draft choice wouldn't be necessary until 9am the next morning, but it could still move along.

I'd say today is a wash....I know I'm stepping out alittle here....anyway, lets start this thing over at 9:00 am

9:00 am KC will be on the clock

if they dont select we select for them, should be a no brainer....I'm putting my vote in for Luke Joeckel OT Texas A & M.

Just my thoughts, i'll go with whatever we do...

I actually think you can make a case for Eric Fisher, too. I know the competition level wasn't the same, but the guy is very good on his feet and can get good push in the run game on a frame that can easily add more weight and not sacrifice his ability in space.

While at work, today, I was able to read the forums, but could not sign in.
Corporate internet police thing stopped me.
So, I am gonna have to submit my list, just in case.
I guess there has been no contact from the oldmut?
Is everyone on board with a consensus pick to start at 9am, Thursday, if we do not hear from him?

Agreed. And Fisher can play RT if they can't trade Albert and they have to keep him for the next year.

Well I'm ready to pick #2, after 12 hours I'm for a hard break, if we can get a consensous for KC's pick, or if 1OldMutt wants to log on, he doesn't pick again until #63 so I don't want to skip him but I've got 2 players I'd be happy to select whichever he doesn't. At 9:00 that's a hard 12 hours.

Just clicking.

Can I propose trades in here for specific players (and is this in and of itself allowed?) in here or should I use PMs?

In the past, we've only had trades of current year picks. If people don't seriously object, I'dextend that to active players since it still fills out a current roster. No future picks though.

All trades should be proposed and.conducted via PM, but of you're just puttingit out there that you're interested in a trade that's fine.

CleveSteve...Point blank you ARE The Commish

Personally 24 hours has passed. You clearly stated we would Commence on April 3rd - you would think the top 10 are ready. Note I personally am limited to computer access. So I will leave my pick with Clevesteve or even another in a PM just wanted it to be around 3 or so away from my pick.

So time to put up 3 options in this chat n let the dawgs opt the choice. I think all know the obvious choice right now is Left Tackle Luke Joeckel but Commish you got to make the move n are the Dictator position in this Mock or else it will fall apart.

OK, 30 minutes. If anyone wants to switch their team to the Chiefs they can. If nobody has by 10:02, we make the pick and move on.
