Corrections: "Said like a true buckeye. Are you saying Kruger is better than Dumervil?"

No one anywhere would say that Kruger is better than Dumervil. Kruger signed with the Browns on March 12th. Dumervil got released by the Broncos on March 15th. Then Dumervil signed with the Ravens on March 24th. So it was never an either/or choice. Once Dumervil was available, Kruger was already on the Browns.

I hate being like this but everybody here knows the browns hierachy is a joke.

furthermore nobody here has one good thing to say about are free agent signings pointing out dumerville going to the ravens.

I agree, there is ALOT of negativity on the board, but I understand their frustration, still, I love the Browns no matter what and I guess my glass is always half full ...

Yeah, because good corners go for a 4th and 5th .....

Also, we don't have a 2nd round pick. If we take a Guard at 6, then we deserve the ridicule we'll receive.

reliability is not Talib's strong suit:

Legal and conduct issues

Talib has had several conduct related issues since his NFL career started. At the NFL rookie symposium in July 2008, Talib was involved in a fistfight with fellow Buccaneers rookie Cory Boyd.[11] On August 20, 2009, Talib allegedly battered a taxi driver,[12] and he was arrested by Florida Highway Patrol and booked into the Pinellas County jail, charged with resisting arrest without violence and simple battery.[13] In March 2011, police in Garland, Texas issued a felony warrant for Talib for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after accusing him of firing a gun at his sister's boyfriend.[14] He was later released on $25,000 bond. Talib was indicted on the charge in May 2011.[15] On June 18, 2012 the charges were dropped due to insufficient evidence and character concerns with the accuser.

how many games would we have won last year with him on the field.

arrest issues i carry are nations highest security clearance i was arrested for resisting arrest(i jumped out a second story window avoiding a swinging club by a mp)
assault when i jumped out the window i landed on a mp.
double felony
all charges dropped now i am a decorated war veteran with are nations 3rd highest medal.

The point sometimes good people get in bad situations.
fact this team would have been 7-9 with him and with the right draft we could be in the playoffs .

Are you talking about who's better, Elvis or Paul? was that the question?

for the sake of this discussion, I'll assume that's what you were asking. Elvis would have been a better pick up based on his career to date.. I don't think anyone would argue that.

the problem with your thinking is, Elvis wasn't available and there was no way anyone could have known he was going to be. As someone already pointed out to you. But you come along and insist that Banner go out and drop a load of dough on a guy after he already dropped a load of dough on another at roughly the same position.

Fail,, Akron Joe errr maybe it's jacksondawg,,, no, it's Akron Joe. Yup, that's who you are.. Hey, weren't you bounced off this board sometime ago? I could be wrong but I thought you were.. anyway is your name Joe Jackson from Akron?

You can't count. I have 9 posts on this thread.. 5 of them have football related information in them, 4 do not, they are direct comments to Akr errr what's his name.

so if there are indeed 20 posts with no football talk (and I am not looking), then 4 are mine.

I don't know what commenting on his original post has to do with it. I responded 5 out of 9 times with football talk, not sure why it matters which post I responded too.. Besides, his first post was almost impossible to make sense of.

The problem w/that is that the original author put a lot of work into it. It's not his fault this jackson guy is ruining it. I was actually very impressed w/the amount of work Loki did.

I haven't commented yet because I want to wait until after the draft to respond. But, it's a good thread. I just wish the refs would delete all the BS posts by jackson and the replies to him. Heck, they can even delete this post. LOL

It's a shame that Loki did all this work and one guy is ruining it.

Numerous arrests, and a performance drug related suspension by the NFL ..... yeah .... he'd be considered reliable.

How much of an impact did Aquib Talib have on the Patriots secondary last year? Well, they ranked 29th against the pass ..... so at least they weren't last ........

Talib was so highly though of this off-season that he took a fairly modest (for a starting CB) 1 year deal to stay in the league.

I guess to some posters, that's a reliable type CB though.

"not impressed.
first losses frostee rucker,gocong,and brown.
plusses kruger the dl from oakland= defense we are weakened.
ray horton=dick jauron arizona 1-6 verses playoff teams minus defense.
switching a proven middle of the road de to linebacker biggest mistake of all..
run defense horton defense was 28 in run defense there will no attact because teams will simply run on 3and 4yards to go.
plusses tj ward look for him to thrive then demand a 10,000,000 per year contract.
chud one winning season as a offensive coordinator draw.
norv turner versus brad childress t offense.
in conclusion a top 5 pick next year this offseason f "

naw he didn't ruin it. right or wrong his first post was football.

Thank you...It did take me far more time than I care to admit especially during law finals.

Well that said this is one of the first years that we could draft absolutely anybody and I wouldn't be surprised. I pretty sure the Browns have been linked to:

1) Geno Smith
2) Mingo
3) Jones
4) Jordan
5) EJ Manual
6) Star L.
7) Milliner
8) Rhodes
9) Eifert

Sadly you could make a good argument that almost any of those players would make the Browns better. I would be disappointed in a Guard, DT, or Eifert but pretty much okay with anything else. Dissapointed because you can find a Guard prospect in a later round for better value, DT- Poured a ton resources and there is alot of talent there, Eifert; Very good TE propsect but not a Vernon Davis or Kellen Winslow, before he got injured, type.

My disappointment would be marginalized by a trade down.

Go Browns!!

I saw that also and do NOT like it one bit. maybe as a FA pickup but not a trade with us giving picks.
we are fine at the WR position. Gordon, Little, Nelson, Benji, Norwood and Cooper. the last 3 being about the same size as Bees 5'10" 190lbs

and Bees has no YAC at all If I remember correctly

If we went after any WR even before Nelson I wanted Alexander from SD.

Good luck on your finals, man.

I was watching NFL Network last night. Mayock was doing his mock draft. He mentioned something about Lombardi and Chud not really wanting Gino Smith, but Banner and Norv do. Not sure if that is true or he was simply painting a scenario.

LOL----that move would set this place on fire.

I wouldn't mind us trading down and drafting Effert. I think he would be big in Norv's offense.

If we stay at 6, I still prefer drafting Milliner.

Well, if that were the case, then we would not draft Smith, and would, instead, move on to the next player on our board ....... at least according to how Banner originally said things would work.

We need consensus for the moves we make, and the players we take.

If the FO drafts Geno Smith, I suspend my fandom in the Browns and you won't see me back (as if anyone would miss my input). The Browns would be dead to me. I'd take up Phil Savage on his suggestion and find a new team.

As a man of the cloth, you'll get to witness the ripping off the lid to the gates of hell if the Browns front office drafts Geno Smith. If further speculation is true and they give up a mid (3rd or 4th rounder) for Davone Bess, you'll see chains holding back Satan's minions broken and unleashed upon the earth.
