Baltimore Ravens linebacker Rolando McClain was arrested Sunday night and charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest in his hometown of Decatur, Ala., according to a report by local station WHNT.

From the report:

Eyewitnesses at the scene told WHNT News 19 that police officers had ordered McClain and several other people to leave the park after a large crowd had gathered there. McClain allegedly refused to do so, and began cursing at the officers. Authorities said McClain was eventually handcuffed and taken to the city jail before bonding out a short time later.

This is the second time this year McClain has been arrested in Decatur. In January, he was arrested on charges of violating rules on car window tint and trying to lie to police about his identity. He was also arrested in Decatur in December 2011, when he posed for a memorable picture after being taken into custody.

McClain served a two-game suspension last season for conduct detrimental to the Raiders, who released him earlier this offseason. He signed with the Ravens a week later.

The 23-year-old McClain is a former Top 10 NFL Draft pick. He had 62 tackles and one sack in 11 games last season with the Raiders.

Did this guy even wait a week before he got himself arrested?

Maybe is a way to introduce himself to the local authorities...he's very good at that.

Like the article said, the Raiders suspended him last season for getting arrested. Maybe the league will step in a suspend him this time around.

Glad we didn't attempt to go after that misfit. He can be Baltimore's new alleged murder now that Ray Ray has retired hahahahaha...

What I don't understand is that how a team with a multitude of resources can turn around and pay a headcase a very nice six-figure salary and not require some sort of probationary regiment of therapy or activities to keep focus.

Back when the Indians brought up Joey Belle, they were wary of his LSU antics and made him talk to a counselor once a week and got him a semi-sham-busy-work offseason job in my father's hotel, which he had to show up for or risk non-payment suspension.

The Players Unions have too much clout to allow that sort of thing anymore.

If the description of events as police describe them are true, a good lawyer will get this wiped away.

As far as his professional career... not good.

Not surprised.
