-4 QBs go in the first round
-Xavier Rhodes is selected before Millner
-Mingo is the 2nd pass rusher off the board
-Browns draft someone out of left field we never saw coming
The only reason people get lost in thought is because it's unfamiliar territory.

Browns trade down and draft EJ Manuel.

Not sure if these are surprises or not...
Tavon Austin goes in the top 10 DJ Fluker goes top 15 No RB in round 1 Geno Smith ends up in Philly, but not with #4 Barkley falls to the 3rd round Werner falls to late first round.

I don't want a QB in the 1st, but of all "left field" scenarios this would be the "less worst" and only one I could stomach if they can get decent compensation and draft good players after that

Jags take Geno Smith
The Raiders take no one we've heard of. Wait...would that be a surprise?
No first round trades

All the QBs plummet to the bottom half of the first round.
First three picks -- all tackles.
Teams fight to trade up to draft Tavon Austin.
Milliner falls out of the top 10.

already put this in the 1st round thread, but it fits better here:
all 5 selections head of us are for tackles (3xOT and 2xDT). a Mountaineer is taken #6. that WVU player is Tavon Austin but for the Rams. Cleveland Browns will select Desmond Trufant, CB, Washington & Tyler Eifert, TE, ND in the 1st round.
Bonus surprise: 13 of the picks tonight end up changing hands (trades - odd number because of teams trading up from round2)

1. There will be no hall of famers in this draft 2. No QB will in this draft will ever make the pro bowl 3. Jarvis Jones will have the better career than Ansah, Jordan and Mingo. 4. Tyrann Mathieu goes 3rd round and is a steal. Big play maker his rookie season. 5. Browns will not draft a QB in rounds 1-3

20, Some quarterback, to the Bears.
And No runningback goes in the top 25, but that's not a surprise.
Can Deshaun Watson play better for the Browns, than Baker Mayfield would have? ... Now the Games count.

Im new here so be gentle. I think the Browns are going to be VERY active in the first round. I could see a trade with the 49ers for a handful of picks (4 or more including a #1 next year). I can see us trading down twice if the siuation is right. We are not going to just stand pat nor will we draft a QB in the top 2 rounds. We will have more than one 2nd round pick when its all said and done. If Lane Johnson is still there at 6, by the time the Commish says " the Browns are now on the clock" every phone in our war room will be ringing.
Its going to be a exciting night my fellow Browns fans, crack open a beer and get ready.

It's my "least worst" too.
I don't necessarily want to go this route .... it's just what I think we're going to wind up going.

I get that he is a diva and has some off-field problems. But it's not like he's Deion Sanders or something. No way does a talent like that fall out of the 1st.

Good start...Tavon at 8, Fluker at 11. Werner in the bottom 1/3, and no RB. 4 for 4
Now I gotta see if the other 2 pan out.

I like the Fluker pick ...... if they put him at RT. If he plays LT, he'll get Rivers killed.

I never even thought of LT. I assumed King Dunlap would be. I gotta agree with ya though.

I didn't recall Dunlap as being all that good. I know that the Eagles OL got QBs beat half to death last year, allowing almost 50 sacks.
I almost have to laugh and ask who Phillip Rivers ticked off. He was sacked 49 times last year, so they sign the LT from a team that allowed about the same number of sacks last year ..... and draft a RT who is a far, far better run blocker than pass blocker.
I do think that Ryan Matthews has to be smiling ear to ear. After his comments earlier about the team being "complacent" last year, he has a lot to prove, and if I were in his shoes, I'd become best friends with Fluker, and would be running right behind him no matter what the play was. lol

Don't know much about him, I just remember a month or so ago, SD signing him and I thought the article said LT.

Yeah, he did play LT for the Eagles. If I'mm Philip Rivers, I call a lot of audibles to a lot of runs off right tackle.

Another thought on this - Vick is a leftie and Rivers is a rightie. That might make things even more interesting.

I really like EJ Manuel, but I thought that was a stretch to take him that early, and to do it by trading up (even if they did trade back earlier)
I'm surprised Shariff Floyd dropped as much as he did. I watched Florida in probably 6 or 7 games, and I thought he was really good.
Not overly shocked that Geno didn't get picked. I like the guy, I think he can make all your throws, he's got the height. I just worry that he won't hold up in the NFL. He's built like RG3, where they both seem kinda skinny and frail.

Yeah, I was just going to say that. Anyone call that one? He was pretty much pegged in the top 5 in most mocks I saw, and he fell all the way down into the 20's.
