I have to give Tebow props for having nothing that the nFL is looking for but still finding a way to win. He reminds me of Bernie in reverse. With all that said I don't think he has a place in the NFL.

I think that Tebow does have something to offer the NFL in terms of talent on the football field ... just not at QB. The unfortunately thing for him is that the circus that the Tebow name brings with him has overwhelmed the talent he brings to the game.

His talent is physical, and that he always finds a way to win. With that said I don't want anything to do with him on the browns roster

Like I said, the circus overwhelms his talent.

I don't know why he doesn't switch to tight end. Kinda like Kordell Stewart did in Pittsburgh. He would be in the Evan Moore type t.e. I don't think he could block very well. I do think he is athletic enough

He would still need a team to sign him and give him a chance.

I will have to say Peen, you couldn't find a more dedicated, hard working, loyal or better character person to root for than Tebow.

It looks as though that wasn't quite enough for him to be an NFL QB, but it's hard not to want to see the guy succeed.

If our playoff contending team is in an injury crunch at QB down the stretch, and needs to sign a FA QB to backup or even possibly start, would we, as fans, want our GM to sign Vince Young, Byron Leftwich, or any of the other also-rans that would be available at that point? Or would we rather he sign Tim Tebow? We saw a situation in '88, when Kosar, Danielson, Pagel all got hurt and we had to sign and start Don Strock. How many times have we watched our 3rd QB start games since '99? Quite a few, IIRC. If those had been contending teams, would you have preferred Spergeon Wynn, Ken Dorsey, Thaddeus Lewis ... or Tim Tebow?

In a crunch, where the games mattered, I'd want Tebow.

So, it may be over for him, but stranger things have happened than for a playoff team to need a QB in December.

Love him or hate him (and I can't imagine why anyone would hate him) he can will a team to a win. If nobody wants to give him a chance, personally, I think it's their loss.

That's hard for me to say. I would know who all is available before I would even venture a guess on that.

My first thought is that considering that Chud/Norv will be running a vertical O and Tebow has thrown for less than a 50% completion rate in the NFL, I don't see him being a QB who would fit their system.

'Conflicting reports on Tim Tebow’s NFL future'

By Brian McIntyre | Shutdown Corner – Fri, May 31, 2013 4:17 PM EDT

http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nfl-shutdo...-201742404.html

Tim Tebow was released by the New York Jets more than one month ago and there are conflicting reports regarding the former Heisman Trophy winner's future in the NFL.

According to ESPN senior writer Dave Fleming, Tebow's camp believes the 2010 first-round pick out of Florida is done in the NFL. From ESPN the Magazine's June 10 "Taboo" issue:

"Even now, after Tebow cleared waivers unclaimed and with members of his camp privately admitting that his NFL run is probably over, the football world remains as divided as ever over him."

It is true that, much to the chagrin of Chuck Norris, Tebow has not generated any interest from the NFL over the last month, but Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network counters that Tebow "is not giving it up", a reliable report which Mike Garafolo of The USA Today has seconded.

Fleming highlights one reason for why Tebow remains a free agent.

"When the Broncos defense was on the field, offensive coaches would often tell Tebow the first series of plays they wanted to run when the team got the ball back. Tebow would nod, and they'd separate. And then, invariably, a short while later he'd ask for the information again. Sometimes this ritual would repeat right up until Tebow had to duck into the huddle and call the play. As a result, despite starting only 11 games in 2011, Tebow was flagged for delay of game an NFL-high seven times. Worse still was the fact that, according to scouts, Tebow almost never audibled because he struggled to quickly and properly read defenses. And of all the deadly sins Tebow committed against quarterbacking, this was the worst: lacking the self-awareness to recognize and fix these shortcomings. Maybe the most shocking part of Tebowmania isn't that he has been cast out of the NFL after just three years but that he lasted as long as he did."

Add in Tebow's continually poor throwing mechanics, which has resulted in a career completion percentage of 47.9 percent, and it's clear that his days as a starting quarterback in the NFL are likely over.

While Tebow may not be an NFL-caliber starting quarterback, he's certainly an NFL-caliber athlete. That's why is it somewhat of a surprise that Tebow can't find a spot with one of the 30 other NFL teams in the league who had 2,700 roster spots to fill this offseason. The list of possible teams for Tebow is whittled down by the eight teams who have new head coaches that would prefer to not invite the circus that accompanies Tebow to town while trying to implement their systems. Still, that leaves nearly 2,000 spots for Tebow, who remains unemployed.

It might take an injury during the preseason or training camp, Tebow accepting a move to a new position, or perhaps Tebow heading to the CFL for a year or two, but it's doubtful we've seen the last of Tebow in the NFL. The 25-year-old has too much left in his tank to hang up his cleats.

I still think the man belongs on an NFL Roster. Not necessarily as a QB of course, but certain as a TE or something.

Me too. What is it, ego? that he can't play tight end for a team? Or has no team asked him?

I'd rather try him at Full Back than Tight End.

You don't change positions at this level. Its not the same as going from DE to OLB, or CB to S. If Tebow can't play QB, he can't play in this league.

I can't seem to find the article but I recall reading something that said he'd been contacted by a few teams about changing positions, and he turned it down.

So it could very well be that his pride is what is keeping him off an NFL roster.

EDIT: I hate quoting BleacherReport, but it's all I could find.
Jets had granted Tim Tebow permission this off-season to seek a trade. More than one team asked if were willing to play TE, but he was not.

Interesting. Girl or canada league then I guess for Tebow.

I found a diagram that explains and demonstrates Tebow's throwing motion:

Tim Tebow
Offered New QB Gig ...
At 'Lingerie' League

Here's hoping Tim Tebow has developed a taste for women's undergarments ... because TMZ has learned, the teamless QB has just been offered a new job with the "Lingerie" Football League.

The LFL -- now known as Legends Football League -- sent Tebow's agent a letter moments ago, offering the former Jets QB a swanky new coaching position ... after the Jets fired his ass this morning.

LFL President Mitchell Mortaza writes, "Now that it appears Mr. Tim Tebow's career in the National Football League may be coming to an end, we at Legends Football League would like to extend him an offer to become our Quarterbacks Coach nationally."

The letter doesn't explain Tim's duties or how much he'd be getting paid ... but it's better than nothing.

Stupid.....you might want to check who says Tebow should play in a Girls league.

I'll be around guy, as I have for however many years it has been....12 years is a good guess....that is unless I die....I am at the age that is always a possibility, though I am in pretty good shape, so I like to think accident is the greatest possibility.

Haha good post bro...

Noone needs to die, but tell me regardless of how old you were, you wouldn't mind going and coaching those girls... the possibilities beyond the eye candy are... endless

... back to the thread though, Tebow's dad says "don't believe everything you hear" about Tim's days in the NFL ending:

http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap1000000...ything-you-hear

But how can you sign with a team, when noone wants to sign you? Wouldn't a team have picked him up by now if interested? Draining the clock to get him extra cheap? Forcing him to agree to be willing to convert positions? Idk...

You're 100% spot on. Tebow clearly isn't good enough for that league either!

I usually hate the gossip on here, but this was too good to pass up

He'd get closer to the pope...

http://sports.yahoo.com/news/italian-league-offers-tim-tebow-183143656--spt.html

Italian league offers Tim Tebow a 4-month contract

ROME (AP) -- Tim Tebow has been offered a four-month contract by the Italian federation for American football, and the Milano Seamen are hoping to sign the free agent quarterback.

Excerpts of an offer sent by federation president Leoluca Orlando to Tebow's representatives were posted on the federation's website Thursday.

''The offer has been made to his agent and now we're waiting for a response,'' Seamen president Marco Mutti told The Associated Press. ''We would be more than happy to have him.''

A federation spokesman, James Dewar, told AP that the offer is for $200,000 and that it was sent Wednesday on the recommendation of a sponsor.

The 26-year-old Tebow was cut by the New England Patriots before this NFL season. He would be the most prominent player to appear in the Italian league - by far.

The eight-team Italian league is divided into two divisions. The other teams are located in Ancona, Bologna, Bolzano, Parma, Reggio Emilia and Rome, while Milan has two teams.

In last season's title game, the Parma Panthers beat the Seamen 51-28.

The Seamen have the league's largest stadium, with 8,000 seats. Fashion designer Giorgio Armani is a former owner of the team.

Tebow won the Heisman Trophy in 2007 with the University of Florida and tasted NFL success with the Denver Broncos, leading them to the playoffs in 2011 before his pro career faded with the New York Jets. He was released in the last cut by the Patriots before this season began and has not been picked up by anyone, even though many teams have had problems at quarterback.
