I haven't been on much lately and won't be for awhile. Please keep my father in your prayers and/or good thoughts. He is a diabetic and came down with Cellulitis in his left leg. It became infected with staph and streph (spelling?). The staph spread into his bloodstream. At one point last week, his blood pressure dropped to 21 over 9. He has been comatose and yesterday I had to make the decision to allow them to amputate his leg. He is a little more stable now, but still not conscious. They are doing dyalisis as his kidneys shut down from the staph. If he makes it through, it will be a very long recovery. Please keep him in your prayers.

I can relate to what you are going through to an extent. My older brother has type 2 diabetes. He has lost both legs and is all but blind. He is 42.

I understand what he is going through. I am aslo a diabetic and have had reoccuring cellutlitis in my leg. 2 times it was bad enough to spend time in hospital.

Thanks for everyone for all your prayers. Dad is now of the ventilator and is awake and aware of all that is going on. His white blood cell count is down to 17, which is close to normal. He is still on dyalisis but his kidneys are starting to function. They were able to reduce his fluids in his body by 4 kilos with yesterday's treatment. It's going to be a long haul, but he is going to make it. Again, thanks for your prayers.

good to hear, Coach. I know the prayers here help because both of my aunts have come through some terrible stuff after I asked for help. Keep trusting and i'll keep praying.
