Damn it that was a good movie he directed, I'm sure he was pretty nice guy too. Man, this sucks, first the Christmas story dad now the director.

Not to be picky...but he was the director of the film..not the writer....

This is awful. It always amazes,confuses, and saddens me that the people who were in the wrong...driving drunk....are the ones that usually survive. And those that were doing things in a manner that they should are the ones who always seem to lose their life. I guess God needed them more than we did.

He certainly had a huge hit with A Christmas Story....I did like a couple of his other movies...Turk 182 and Loose Cannons. Even if he didn't produce oscar after oscar, he has given us something that we hold very dear every Holiday Season. I mean for me as a Christian...it just isn't Christmas without that movie.


I thought I was wrong once....but I was mistaken...

What's the use of wearing your lucky rocketship underpants if nobody wants to see them????

That's a shame... my mom loves that movie. I like it every so often, but for her it's required viewing every year.
