In case you were wondering, my point is, if you slap someone, don't expect them to lay down and take it. Generally, around here, they slap back.

Sorry, but missing two games is extremely critical. I know nothing about what lead to the suspension...a mistake in a subscription or drugs, but no matter what truly happened, missing your most talented WR for two games is critical. Especially when one game is a team you can conceivably beat while the other is a division opponent.

In a game where every year a team misses the playoffs by one game, Gordon missing 13% of the season is nothing to sweep under the rug.

I just hope it doesn't happen again. JMO.

I would add to these comments to ask the QB if it's critical. Whoever the starter is (presumably Weeden) at the beginning of the season and Gordon isn't there and the team loses those games, it could cost the QB his job.

The only thing that makes it critical is WHY he's missing two games and the implications going forward,, If it was caused by injury, it would be considered a bummer/bad thing/bad luck etc.. But because it's a suspension for a substance abuse violation, it's suddenly critical.

What would the team do if he was injured and expected to miss two games? They'd cowboy up and find someone else on the team to do his job. That's exactly what they'll do now. thats also why teams that win have solid backups that can carry the load when called upon.

Two things, the sky isn't falling and the movie house isn't on fire.. It's not critical.

and you are one of the most articulate and honest posters on here.. I truly appreciate that.

If we ever get a chance to meet in person, you'll find out that I am out of my freaking mind with one liners.. for some reason, I can't seem to put them on paper..

Ask GM about me sometime.. he'll agree, I'm a nutbag.. and damn proud of it.

I'll worry about it when I have to.

Pretty much where I stand. I do not deny his history...its there for all to read. Nobody is a liar in that regard. But to not see this as a difference I think is incorrect to a degree.

In his past he got punish by leaving a school n then rewarded immediately with another school to play for. He definitely did not learn due to the possible consequences and probably just didn't care about the Free education. Just looking for that stepping stone to the NFL. I think all the hoopla about RG3 had many teams looking at film of Baylor past n saw Gordon. They do those What Ifs where would a kid be taken in the draft. He probably had a late first until he got thrown out then 2nd or 3rd round grades.

Present. Is his Goal n dream of making money if not also love for the game itself. He definitely has shown he loves money.

Well in this occasion:
1. Was it a relapse I won't get caught or no reprisals will come of it and he smoked Marijuana or was it truly a prescription error due to his status he still has to be penalized for it.

2. There was no slap on the wrist...now now next time we will be really really mad. You know - like our present Foreign Policy

3. He got a 2 game suspension...but he also got hit where it hurts as he was fined 4 weeks salary (of a 17 week payment period) almost 25%.

4. He also knows the consequences of his next mess up. One Year, Less one year Salary as well. Probably a release from us so if he returns it will be for a league minimum to prove himself at best.

I would say this is significantly a different environment he is jeopardizing with his actions than what has happened in his "HISTORY" Unless he is a total Moron he will be careful not to slip up. Even if he's a jerk...common sense would say...have a 9-10 year career be clean then get a house in Colorado and light it up all he wants as there is no consequences.

Doesn't mean NO WAY HE WILL NOT GOOF UP. Just I think the odds are in his favor all depends how dumb he is. If dumb enough to throw away EVERYTHING...Good riddance I say.

Urgent need? Nah but in the future if an elite WR falls into our laps...Go get em heck even if he doesn't get in trouble. As long as we don't over spend/invest right time right place heck yeah get that WR.

Some of you need to wake up and smell whatever there is to smell to know the difference from reality and fairy tale land.

Some of us don't necessarily believe he's telling the truth, yet at the same time aren't ready to hang him out to dry. Believe it or not, some people believe there is a middle ground here.

If there was nothing to worry about, no concerns of his actions, all is peachy - then we wouldn't be having this talk and Gordon wouldn't be in the situation he is in. It's as simple as that.

Not many are saying there's nothing to worry about. Some are simply saying we don't know "with certainty" what happened here.

I'm still rooting for him and crossing my fingers he can pan himself out and get himself on the right track - but for those who seem to have no concern... I do not understand this.

And neither do I. His history gives some cause for concern yet it can go either way. And nobody knows exactly what happened here one way or the other.

Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

Just I know I was in the middle of a heated discussion??? which followed by two key posters EZ n Toad on how they didn't like the new order of things.

Try not to be so sensitive, and try not to read too much into things that aren't there.

I'm coming from a stance where I've grown weary of all the attitude which has me not that interested in involving myself in it anymore. That isn't about "new" posters or a "new order of things." That's about what I've perceived to be an emerging, collective attitude. A poster made a comment and I agreed with him.

If the board stuck more to football...

***Gordon, I really didn't think you could be this stOOpid, but you exceeded my expectations. Wussy.

Tell me, Pit..........who has said we should cut the guy?

The guy has been caught five times in a couple of years ago, and yet you got guys on here saying it isn't critical.

And after he has been caught 5 times, there is a video of him being drunk w/Little. And did you look at that picture w/the pipe and the pill bottle?

LOL man..........and there are still posters acting like we are whacked for being concerned.
