L.A. definitely deserves two based on the size of the city.

I don't see how a team in London would work either, just the flight time alone would be a major problem. It's a good 7+ hours just from London to New York could you imagine flying from Denver or Dallas to London you would need two days just to fly and recover from the jet lag. As for LA getting a team the only way i see that happening is if the Raiders move back or a team like the Jags with a small fan base and small tv market can't make a go of it decides to move or sell to LA investors.

I just listed the teams with stadium/attendance issues.
.
I guess when I scanned it, I missed that. Never did find it on this thread..
Anyway, I don't see the Phins or Bucs moving, maybe the Vikes, maybe the Chargers but without a doubt, I think Jax is outta there. To where, I'd hope for LA and not london.. JMO

Jaguars to LA. Raiders to LA. Bills to Toronto.
And as I stated above, I'm not sure LA deserves one team, I guarantee you that they don't deserve two.
It's not a matter of deserves... it is TV revenues.
Browns is the Browns
... there goes Joe Thomas, the best there ever was in this game.

I'm trying to remember why the Rams left LA. Was it money? the Facility they played in? Did the owner, Georgia Frontiere (sp) do a Modell,, strong fan base but couldn't run a business?
I just don't remember..

Bingo.
Also, when people say LA, they really mean southern California minus San Diego.
LA and Orange County are both HUGE TV markets. I believe the Angels are called the LA Angels, but they're an OC team located in the middle of Anaheim. Same with the Ducks in the NHL.
There is no level of sucking we haven't seen; in fact, I'm pretty sure we hold the patents on a few levels of sucking NOBODY had seen until the past few years.

I think it was a combo of the first and last. She wanted a new tax-payer paid stadium saying the team would go bankrupt if they didn't get it and the city/county refused. She tried to move the team but the NFL said "no" so she threatened to sue and the NFL relented. I believe a lot of her financial problems were because of bad business deals.

Thanks
Sounds to me that it was a Modell kinda thing. And it sounds a bit like shortsighted city/county/state management not making it happen coupled with bad team ownership/financial Management.
Which begs the question, what's changed? Is it now that the City/County/State Government in the LA, OC area thinking they will pony up for a new facility or are they going to make them play where the Rams or Oakland played? where are they going to get the money to build a new facility?
I mean I have a cousin that works for the State and more that once, he's had to accept pay vouchers instead of money because the state was having trouble meeting payroll.
How the hell can anyone out there afford to build a stadium.
I mean, unless the League is going to cover the costs? in which case, hey fellas, Cuyahoga County want's it's sin tax money back LOL As if?

Oh trust me, I'm fully aware that my notion of what is right and wrong in this may not get the same results as the NFL's calculation of how much money they can make...

I like the sound of "The LA Bengals" myself!
