I don't disagree with you there, but I'd like to see him get reps with the ones possibly at some point in the preseason. I do think the kid has shown some good potential.

We do need to know what we have in him,,

I've had this injury, and its pretty painful to walk much less run. (Stairs are a killer.) As far as I know, it requires anti-inflammatory drugs, ice, and rest to heal. Then the quad has to be rehabbed to stabilize your kneecap and keep it from "scrubbing" the patellar tendon, which causes the inflammation. At least thats what the orthopedic doctor told me.

Before anyone slams Miller again for not being at camp and such while he's out with a concussion ... different people are impacted by a concussion differently. Some people cannot stand the slightest amount of light, so doing just about anything would be out of the question. He apparently took a pretty heavy duty hit to his head, and appears to have sustained a fairly severe concussion.

Hopefully he'll be back to work soon.

Plus, perhaps it was doctor's orders to stay at home. Depending on the case, doctors will give different instructions to concussion victims.

The only reason I wanted to add that was because someone blasted Miller for not coming in to watch film and such. I had one concussion in my lifetime, and I couldn't stand watching TV, or do much of anything for about a week. I couldn't hope to drive. I hated having direct lights on inside at night. I used a lot of night lights at night instead of lamps of overhead lights. It sucked.

Weird thing was that when it ended, it ended. I woke up one morning with the sun shining and my head was back to 100% clear.

General reply. Often, ok I'll argue ALWAYS with this kind of ankle injury, they say the player will be back in 4-6 weeks or 6-8 weeks and it always gets extended. I don't remember one time it didn't. If they say he'll miss 2-4 regular season games, then just chalk up 6 or 7 weeks. I just won't expect he will be back 1 minute before the game closest to Halloween at the end of October.

11 weeks from the injury, 10 weeks from the announcement. For any player with this kind of injury.

Can Deshaun Watson play better for the Browns, than Baker Mayfield would have? ... Now the Games count.

Hopefully Charles' injury isn't serious or season-ending (early reports say it isn't serious). I hate to see so many injuries this early in the year.

As the years pass, I dislike camp and the preseason more and more. It seems like it's only here to thin the depth chart.

I am more and more convinced that Chud is doing the right thing with Richardson in this year's camp as I watch other guys drop all over the NFL. Why take chances if the guy isn't 100%, absolutely healthy?

There are more name players hurt by this point in the preseason than usual ...... at least it seems that way to me.

Could be. Maybe it's that weird stuff ..... like the top 2 TE for the Ravens going down with injuries within a week of one another that makes it seem like more.

OMG!! It's Global Warming!!!

Eh, it's just another preseason. Every year there's a ton of injuries. While there may be more knees as the cause right now, I'd be willing to bet that the number of people is fairly normal. Even if it isn't - it doesn't mean anything at all.

The preseason is too long. Season ticket holders pay full price for these games. Why? To fill the pockets of the NFL.

How many preseason games do collegiate kids play? How can they get ready for the season w/out any preseason games and the NFL needs 4?!? Then we hear all the complaining about injuries which leads to more discussion about not playing your good players.

What a joke.

agree 100% vers.... from pee wee football to college teams get ready without "preseason"games and the nfl needs four or even one ?

I know it gets boring hitting your teamates over and over but it seems a tean could get a lot of the same work in with controlled scrimmages against other teams.. jmho.

still injuries will occur... hell havent most of our been at pratice... TRich, Lava, Hardesty, Miller, Hardesty, Wrad, Hardesty, er Hardesty

Yes, the controlled scrimmages. Remember when we used to do that against Buffalo? I see other teams are doing it now. The Bengals and Atl did it this year. There were two other teams doing the same thing, but I can't remember who they were.

LOL on the Hardesty thing.

I'd be a huge fan of starting that scrimmage with Buffalo back up. Mostly because they played it in my home town. That was a fun event.

LOL on the Hardesty thing.

The NFL knows it needs to do something about the Pre-season. In the end I think the season will expand by two games with each team playing 2 pre-season games....1 home, 1 away. I wouldn't mind having one preseason game I would have to eat.

I also agree that controlled scrimmages are a good way to get in extra work.

And that link right there epitomizes what's wrong with Twitter.

"Brady injured knee"
"Brady out with knee or ankle injury"
"He's stretching on the sideline"
"He only missed one play"
"After missing only one play, he completed 3 straight passes."

So, is he injured?

Brady injured, Mallet injured... it's Tebow time? I am sure Pat's fan hope not. He looked like stinky, smelly and rotted crap during his preseason game. I forgot how hideous his wind up and throwing motion is.
