They didn't change anything. Looks like they just shut it down for no reason. Sounds about right with this organization.

Why did it take so long to renew the license. Especially since it appears nothing changed. I went on the board while it was down. It was still there but was locked so you couldn't post. It was very odd.

I haven't need their site since I joined here and that's not going to change with this news.
I noticed the Bears dumped their forum site recently too. I would guess it's just a hassle for them to manage. They have to worry about fans on their own site badmouthing them, rival fans spreading smack, fans selling tickets and dealing with all the non-football crap that they don't care about too (political threads). I can understand why they'd drop it.
Plus, with Facebook and Twitter, why do you need an official forum site anyway?

I was just getting used to it here... Hmmm, what to do, what to do? I'll probably go back there, as it is more like home, if you know what i'm sayin'.... But I do like it here too. The "official" message board is the most overmoderated message board out there, bar none.... But they are used to me there and don't mess with me much anymore, at least since i stopped cussing.

You might be surprised about this, but people that think it's over moderated are usually the ones causing the problems. I'm not sure why it's so hard to follow the "rules" over there...not much happens here and we have the same ones.

I'll gladly try, in fact I asked specifically on the ref page. If I can't I'll just post elsewhere, just like I do with this site. When I want to discuss what's actually going on with the Browns, I go to another forum. When I want to read Fluff articles I come here. Hope this helps.

There's a few knowledgeable posters over on BC, but the problem is you have to read through 10 posts of nonsense to get to any real football discussion.

"Timmy" - I give him 3 stars. HORRIBLE FOOTWORK. No pocket presence. But the 18 yard curl is his ace in the hole!
"Billy" - 17 stars! It factor! SO MUCH IT FACTOR! Gotta make sure I give ol Urbs a call. Hope he remembers me from that time where we were at that thing.
Personally I hope most of you stay. There are some others that would be great if they could scan down the aisle and find the exit nearest your seat.

There are better Browns forums out there for discussing Browns football, I come here bc I've been coming here since ~2006. When this site first started it was fantastic, but man some of the crazy rules/over moderation of this site has driven off a lot of good posters.

Well, he said that when this board started that it was fantastic, but that crazy rules and over moderation have chased people off. I just wondered what those new rules would be? I wondered what over-moderation he sees?
I ask because I have found the rules to be pretty simple, and consistent. I really haven't seen too many example of over-moderation. In fact, it seems like people have been getting away with more than they used to.

That superior attitude along with the clique thingy really turns people off to this site. You need to check that at the door..........
The part you and many of this boards members (not all or even most) don't get is the only clique that should exist is the Browns fan Clique and like a family there are some that express themselves better then others, in that respect this board isn't better then any other board or membership but the attitude that you are somehow better fans or smarter fans does indeed set you apart but not in a good way brother...
I believe the term used is stuck up....
