I'm sure this has been asked before, but I've never seen it, and after a hostile poster claimed that most of the people here are over the age of 40, I'm curious if he is right.

27 been here since the swap and was on the original board before then. Probably was around 17 at the time. My earliest browns memory is Erick Zeier. I deserve some sort of persistance medal. Didnt even get to see Kosar.

LOL. You are getting averaged out now. Actually, I messed up. He said everyone here was over 50. So far, it's looking like he was way off.

I want to thank you for making the cutoff at 50, so I didn't have to go to the next higher bracket. lol

I kinda figured we were mostly over 40.
Why would a poster think it's a big deal?

He was complaining about this site not allowing Twitter links and the like. I guess his logic was older people don't understand Twitter. I don't know. Actually, I messed up in the OP. He said everyone here was over 50.. LOL. So far, he's way off.

Mantis I am old people... trust me... and I like twitter. BUT I want the news ASAP but I don't want the news unless it is 100 percent accurate and I have seen way to many twitter accounts that were fake and reporting incorrect news. Speaking just for myself I would rather wait 30 min for the news than to receive false info. just because it's the first news out there.

Oh,, OK I was trying to understand why our average age was important. I get it, a "KID" decided that old people don't understand Twitter.

Damn straight. Well, I'm 40 and feel like I'm 30. Of course, I also have an achy right hip too (too much soccer last year, hasn't healed right).

I'm 50 and feel like I'm 25 ..... except for my damn back ...... and that I tend to think things through a little more than I did at 25.

If you're 39 you're closer to 60 than 38. Theres no going back. 38 is over and never to be seen again. It's all numbers anyway. We don't beat the Grim Reaper by living long. We beat him by living well. Enjoy everyday. It's a blessing. Live that way.

As a communist I believe the best solution is to distribute our ages fairly amongst the people. Making us all about 1.5 million years old thanks to pre-historic GM. And I am not being sarcastic. We commies just enjoy feminine colors

The first computer I ever used was a Windows 3 system. We footed a floppy disc (one of the old truly floppy ones ..... the 8" ones) for the Chrysler System. Bleh. When we upgraded to Windows 95, and bought a new system, Chrysler said that there was no way to make their software work with Windows. We had this heavy duty tech geek named Eric who was just incredible with all things computer. He didn't work for the company, but he knew the owner somehow. I swear that he was part Borg, and just plugged into the computer when no one was looking. He did the impossible, and created a version of the Chrysler system (Unix) that would run inside Windows ..... contrary to what Chrysler said was possible. It made my life much easier .... because I didn't have to wait for Windows to boot back up after ordering cars or something. He even made it print, which Chrysler swore would never work, even if someone could make the rest work. Shows what they knew at the time. It is kind of funny thinking back. That first computer system ran the Chrysler system, and could also run a 3 1/2 floppy .... and we had this game that we used to play on the computer when the boss wasn't looking. It was this game where you had to use the arrow keys to line up your shots to fire at the enemy across mountain ranges. It was really rudimentary, but fun. I wish that I could remember the name of the game. I actually probably still have it on a floppy lying around here somewhere. Anyway, when we got the Windows 95 system, with far more memory, (I think that we went all out and got 32 MB RAM for the system ... whew! Smokin'!) the game would play ..... but it played at hyperspeed. lol It was impossible to see the tracers to determine of your shot was long or short. It was a shame. That was a fun game. I wonder how it would do on a modern system. LOL It probably wouldn't even play at all ... if I even had a floppy drive to play it on.

26 here. I was a teenage member of the old board and registered here the minute I knew it existed. Love the Browns. My family loves the Browns ... all the way back to the 50s. My first memory of the Browns is Eric Metcalf ... wish I could remember the 80s teams though.
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

I'm 56, I started watching the Browns when Leroy Kelly took over for Jim Brown that's why Kelly is my favorite All-Time Cleveland Brown ...
