Anybody in the Dallas area, specifically in Plano, know of a good Browns Backer bar I could go to. Just moved here and trying to get the lay of the land

Plano, Texas? Somehow I never pictured you in Plano, Texas. I suppose work took you to Texas.

The only two Texans I know of on this board off the top of my head are Toad and Clevesteve.

I see a north Texas Browns backers club.

web page

Based on the address of Midway Rd, it looks to be about 15 miles from Plano....not too far. Check them out to see if they are still acvtive

I've had good days and bad days...same as everybody else I guess. But all in all, I'm doing good. Yeah, my wife and I both work for State Farm and relocated here to take better jobs in the company.

I can assure you, I never pictured myself in Texas either..

I took a self imposed hiatus. At the time, there was a lot of tension going around, so I just took a break. I even stopped coming to read posts. I may never post as much as I used to, but I'll be around to school you all and the ins and outs of this game we call football . I promise to stay away from politics...as much as I can.

Hey, I live in Frisco and am apart of the Dallas Area Browns Backers. We meet at Fox in the Hound in Lewisville for the games. It's a good crowd and a fun time. I am guessing that is where we will be again this year. I know there is a website just google "Dallas Area Browns backers"

Welcome to Texas. It gets hot!

Yep. 35E and 121. It's pretty easy to get to coming from Frisco/Plano. Takes me about 20 min or so and I live damn near in Prosper. It's a big crowd the main room is packed with Browns fans. They do some door prizes at halftime. I like it.

At any rate, I hope that link helps you find a place to catch the team. It looks like it is 5 exits down the George Bush Expressway. Seems like you could be there in 15-20 minutes.

Good to see you!

you may be right... I might have been combining the two backers clubs and got my bars confused... ( really I have been known to do that, tequila... ya know).

NDUTYME - this has been a mild summer, wait until we get 105 and up for 30 days with no rain and the grass crackles when you walk on it. Hell I lost a rake one year in a crack in my yard, 87 degrees at 5 am in the morning... the trees begging the dogs to pee on them for water... a REAL texas summer.

LOL...yes, but not for that reason...well, when I first saw it, yeah. But I didn't want to pay the tolls on it (typical republican consumerism at it's best...aptly named... ). But then I started taking the non toll freeways...and now George Bush and I are best friends
