I don't know a thing about this guy, but this is the stuff that great stories come from. What if this kid comes in and rips it up.. LOL What a story that would make.

Right now I'd rather be a Patriots fan, their division keeps getting easier every day.
Holy cow, no kidding!
Jets - a disaster. Bills - a disaster. Dolphins - they ONLY competition for the Patriots, and I'm betting that the Phins will implode part way into the season.
Browns is the Browns
... there goes Joe Thomas, the best there ever was in this game.

Another Tom Brady on our hands?
Or what if he gets hurt and Thad goes in to lead them to the Super Bowl?
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

I've been playing close attention to Tannehill this preseason. I'm slowly starting to come around on him. He has a much stronger arm than I thought. Can make all the throws. He is accurate. Seems to be decently cool in the pocket. Has wheels if he needs them, but looks to throw first. He doesn't go all 'backyard football' mode at the slightest pressure.
Since we could have had him I find it interesting to watch and see what kind of player he is. I think Held and Mourgrym may have been right on him. I'm anxious to see how his regular season unfolds.
Having said that, I wouldn't be surprised in the least with a loss on opening weekend. In some regards, I think the dolphins are better than us. At a minimum, we are strikingly similar teams...not quite mirror images, but not that far off either.
Week 1 will most likely come down to Tannehill vs. Weeden, and I can see Tannehill outperforming him.
I hope not, but I can see it happening.
LOL - The Rish will be upset with this news as well. KS just doesn't prioritize winning...

so let me ask you this ... you can redo the 2012 Draft ... would you select Tanehill at our original slot and then a RB at the 2nd slot?

It's too early to tell. We will know for sure after this season if Weeden will be an NFL QB. If you put a gun to my head I'm taking Tannehill and Martin.

Me too. Tannehill isn't any more polished than Weeden, but he is more athletic and has a higher upside IMO ... but in this offense Weeden can succeed.

Well if you want to play that game, I stay at 4 and take Luke Kuechley, take Martin at 22, take Schwartz at 37, and use some of the picks we wouldn't use to trade up from 4 to 3 and use them to move our 87th pick into the early 70s and take Russell Wilson... Can I do that?

Sure! I'll buy the Super Bowl tickets for both of us.

Maybe if he won the game via his play during the Camps n Preseason...but he got the start via injury to the #1 n #2.
We should know - we've gone through this ourselves.
It would be a great story but this is not Romo getting the start as a UDFA.

looks like my ticket purchase of the bills game could end victoriously. i hope to see EJ Manuel but if this guy is horrible for them then it should be an easy win for the browns.

Matt Leinart started last night and looked worse than he ever has.
Isn't JaMarcus Russell still available?

Leinart looked like he has always looked. He's a crap QB, without an arm, and with no touch or accuracy. He's also not much of a leader .... but other than those limitations, he's a fine QB.

Vince Young is a backup on his fourth team. Matt Leinart is probably going to get cut by his fourth team. There probably aren't many who would have predicted that after that epic Rose Bowl game.

The bills have such a great run game, this kid has a chance to make some plays but he has to get rid of the ball quickly or he will die behind that line.

Who is the Bills RB behind Spiller? Spiller is always injured. I watched one of preseason games and he got injured and the entire crowd went dead silent. Sounds like Spiller is a fan favorite, but like Montario in regards to injury concerns.

Injury prone.
Maybe he was thinking of Fred Jackson, who has missed a lot of time due to injuries over the past couple of years.

No I was thinking Spiller. I don't pay an awful lot of attention to the Bills, but a lot of my friends at work won't even consider having him on their fantasy teams cause of his issues. They say he is "nine times out of ten listed as "questionable or probable, never for sure". It's the Bills, who likes the Bills?

He had some sort of "fragile" tag on him when he was drafted, and I seem to remember him getting a crazy injury early in his rookie year, shelving him for the season (or something like that).
He came back the year after and struggled to get back into form. The year after, he was a beast.
At least, that's what I remember.
There is no level of sucking we haven't seen; in fact, I'm pretty sure we hold the patents on a few levels of sucking NOBODY had seen until the past few years.
