Hey Clemmy.. I don't agree that he should be taken off special teams strictly for the reason of keeping him from getting injured.
I mean, if you are worried about injuries, hell, that can happen on any given play on any given Sunday or for that matter any day they have practice.
Maybe,, we should wrap them up in Bubble wrap to keep them safe
And a car accident can happen anywhere, at any time, at any speed... but the more you drive and the faster you drive, the more likely you are to be in an accident....
By the same logic, special teams plays generate more injuries than plays from scrimmage... so if you give the guy 10 more plays a game to play and you make those the more dangerous plays, the odds of him getting injured go up considerably.

Exactly.
Someone else argued something similar earlier in the thread...but the odds of being injured on a special teams play are much higher than on a regular defensive snap.
It's flat out dumb to put the #6 pick in that position. Especially in a meaningless game.

Our TE position is in rough shape? The Bucs are bringing in our hand me downs. Bucs work out Dan Gradkowski, Kellen Davis | National Football Post http://www.nationalfootballpost.com/Bucs-work-out-Dan-Gradkowski-Kellen-Davis.htmlThe Tampa Bay Buccaneers are showing interest in two tight ends at the present time. According to a league source, the Buccaneers worked out tight ends Dan Gronkowski, Kellen Davis and Hayden Smith. The Bucs currently have four tight ends on their 53-man roster. Gronkowski is the brother of Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski. He's caught nine passes for 69 yards in his two-year career. Davis spent his first four years with the Chicago Bears. He caught 47 passes for 529 yards and 11 touchdowns in Chicago. Smith is an athletic former Australian rugby player who previously played for the New York Jets.

A friend of our family is the 3rd string TE for the Bucs ... Nate Byham ... I'm hoping he isn't cut, but this isn't a good sign
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."
