They are calling him 'flipper' on the OBR right now.

Which is exactly what I said to my buddy today when he...unbelievably...flipped another ball that was way off target and closer to the defender than our receiver.

I'm not above using nicknames on players or FO folks, and until he's no longer a Brown I'm calling him exactly that.

I mean C'mon...after all the Hell he took for that idiotic decision last week, did he REALLY do it again? Is he REALLY so dumb that his instincts learned nothing and actually triggered him to try it again?

Simply. Unbelievable.

Thanks, Flipper.

And I can almost guarantee he will still start against KC.When Hoyer went down, you could see the spark this team had just melt away. They know Weeden sucks, they just can't say so.

I'm against the use of nicknames but geez,, two weeks in a row. The first week, he himself called it a bone headed play, then he goes and does it again.

Maybe the name Flipper is what I will call him, I need to decide if I'm taking the high road or not.

Why is Chud so confident that Weeden can turn things around or whatever the reason is he continues to play him? These last two games have been worse than the usual "bad".

It makes absolutely no sense to me. I dog and rip Rex Ryan and etc, but he'd be intelligent enough to put Weeden on the bench, where he belongs. Chud making himself look more like a moron each time he holds Weeden's hands in the presser and tries to spread the blame around. Each time he starts the utterly huge failure.

BE A COACH CHUD AND STOP BEING AN IDIOT! You gave him a fair chance, a fair opportunity and he's given us nothing in return. What more do you need? Enough is enough already.

Are you sure it's not 1.5 , 15 seems kind of high

He will help turn things around... when we play our way into a top 3 pick.

There is no level of sucking we haven't seen; in fact, I'm pretty sure we hold the patents on a few levels of sucking NOBODY had seen until the past few years.

He had a 1.7 rating at the end of the first quarter on 2-for-11 passing and the pick, and a 16.4 mark at the end of the half on a 5-for-14 performance for 48 yards. By the time the carnage was over, Weeden had completed 17-of-42 attempts (40 percent) for 149 yards with one touchdown -- a beautiful 2-yard strike to Jordan Cameron in a tight window in the end zone -- and the one pick for a 48.6 rating.

Our coaches probably listened to the fans and the media and actually tried to make "halftime adjustments."

I have said this before, but I hated watching the games last year. I knew what would happen. I felt the same way during game one and before game two this year. In comes Hoyer and all of a sudden it is fun to watch the Browns again. I was so excited. You could see the team was excited. I sense that many fans were excited to watch the games again. I was thinking we finally got lucky. We pick up a no-name qb for free and this guy is looking good. It's a miracle.

Then Hoyer goes down. As soon as it happened, I told my daughter he was done for the season. Should have known better to think we would have good luck. The life went out of me. The weeks of the Bengal game and the Bills game took forever. I was so excited to watch the team. Even though the weeks seemingly took forever, it was cool. The anticipation of watching decent football again was so great.

Reenter Weeden and I dreaded watching the games again. I even used karma. I bad-mouthed Weeden unmercifully. I was willing to be lambasted by many posters for bashing Weeden. I thought it might lead to Weeden actually playing well....LOL......I know that is stupid, but I was hoping for a turnaround.

Yesterday, the guy comes out for the first series w/his hands in his jersey pocket and when he takes them out of the jersey, he has gloves on. His body posture is stiff. No energy. He looks like he is freezing. Really? Then he sails his first two passes 10 feet above the open receiver's heads. Are you kidding me?

I hate saying this, but I look at his dumb expression while he is sucking and I wanna punch him right in the freaking face. Call me a hater. I don't care. I really don't hate him, but don't want him as our QB.

I apologize for the ramble.

I can't say I want to punch the guy in the face. He doesn't make my blood boil.

But he does make me shake my head.

The guy is an idiot and a loser. I've been saying that for a while now, and I'm sure it seemed to many to be message board name calling or knee-jerk venting.

But watch him play, and listen to him talk.

It was obviously a bad pick when we made it, but I was further disheartened - not by his play (which can improve) - but rather by listening to him. He sounds dumb, and nothing ever has been or will be his fault.

I laughed out loud when I heard his explanation of the second (!) idiotic backhanded lob in two weeks.

Wow ... I just don't know what to say to that.

I have never wanted to punch any of our players in the face ..... and there have been several I prayed might get cut between the 1st and 2nd quarters of a game.

That just seems really extreme to me.

I don't know about any players, but back in 95, Modell sure would have been tempting.

NRTU,

Apparently Weeden didn't learn that 17-42 for 149 yards isn't acceptable.

Clearly you don't understand frustrated fans venting. You're just mad because you love him.

How could anyone support Weeden? I'm sorry, but really and honestly? How? I'm guessing our opponents support Weeden and his family does, but I think in the realm of Brown's fans - Weeden has even lost the "big hearted" people who kept sticking up for him. I've noticed the Weeden ship is running on fumes and virtually everyone has jumped overboard.

The flipper ball really put him at an all-time low. Writers and etc are even now labeling him the worst and most terrible QB playing today. He's turned himself into a joke via his gameplay.
