I think that Tampa Bay's QB plans depend upon how Glennon plays the rest of the way out, and if they bring in a new head coach.

Glennon hasn't played badly. Tampa Bay is simply a horrible team and I'm surprised that they haven't fired Schiano already.

Tampa's not a horrible team though. They are much like KS, in that they have solid talent in many spots, and have been coached down to their current level.

Vincent Jackson, Carl Nicks, Mike James, and Doug Martin are all very good players. They have run the ball effectively, averaging 4.1 yards/carry this year. They have only 1 rushing TD, (same as us) and with their talent at RB, that speaks to me more about coaching than anything else. Unbelievably, they have a positive TD to INT ration of 11/6. They have allowed 20 sacks, which is middle of the league.

They are middle of the league in defense. They have talent on that side of the ball. Gerald McCoy and Adrian Clayborn are talented DL. Their LB Corps is underrated, and Lavonte David is a talented kid. They have very good talent in their secondary. They have a good kicker in Lindell.

They are 17th in points allowed, but 2nd to lase in points scored. They aren't a perfect team ..... but for this team to be winless speaks far more to ineffective to coaching than to talent on the roster. Even there they do have talent. Their OC was the QB coach of the Giants back when Eli Manning was playing well. He is also a former coach at YSU. Bill Sheridan is a respected defensive coach. Dave Wannstedt is their special teams coach. They have talent on the coaching side of the equation.

I do think that their head coach has ruined the psyche of the team. If I were a coach looking at prospective head coaching gigs, that would be one I would try really hard to get. That team should be a moderately quick turnaround if they can even find a serviceable QB.

Then why not Watkins and Boyd in the first? Deal?

I'm not sure what it is, I just can't sell myself on Boyd. I've read what the scouts say and because he's at Clemson I've seen a lot of him and there's a lot to like.. its just something, not sure what, that keeps me from getting gaga over him.

And with our draft pick looking like it's not going to be top 10 like we previously thought and the Colts probably being in the low to mid 20s somewhere, the thought of us getting both is probably unrealistic unless we dump a lot of our 2nd-4th round picks to move up.

The QB who should get a really good look from the Browns is Blake Bortles, UCF. Once the hype has settled on all the QB's not named Bridgewater, Manziel or Mariotoa the prospect with as much potential as any player available to the Browns will be Bortles. Beat Penn St in at their place, beat Louisville at their place, 15 TDs, 4 Ints, 6' 4", 225lbs, mobile, takes snaps under center, pocket presence, decision maker, and throws a very catchable ball. If I'm aware of him, gotta believe the Browns FO knows about him.

If his stock doesn't get inflated due to the position then 2-3 round would be an absolute steal on this guy!

Saturday at 7 PM EST, Houston @ UCF on ESPN2, see for yourselves.

If this is what is considered as pimping a player then consider me a pimp.

Well, maybe I didn't phrase that correctly. They are a horribly coached team. That's why I mentioned Schiano. I know it's not a total rebuild there, but they have a serviceable QB with Glennon. They have someone that was even worse than Shurmur as the head coach (which is saying something) and as soon as they hire a competent HC, they'll make a turn-around. The only reason that I see for them to keep him is to try and get the highest draft pick possible for the next coaching staff to build around.

I made a sorta similar comment a while ago about Glennan. I think Glennan gets a pass and sticks around because of Schiano. Statistically, he hasn't been playing too well, but I wouldn't be surprised if he gets the benefit of the doubt.

Pryor, I think, is one person that should stick around. That Raider team was supposed to give the Jags competition for most pathetic team. I think Pryor has performed admirably given what he has for a line and defense. They lost a lot of guys this past offseason, and the overall talent level is very low (unlike the Bucs).

There is no level of sucking we haven't seen; in fact, I'm pretty sure we hold the patents on a few levels of sucking NOBODY had seen until the past few years.

They either go for a QB or take Clowney and try to build a defense that can support Glennon.

You don't get too many cracks at top-flite QB's. You don't get too many Clowneys, either.

There is a lot of football left but if the draft was held today, we would probably be drafting about 16 and then about 25. I would strongly consider a trade up and take Manziel and Evans. Would be fun to watch anyway lol

I'm on the Evans bandwagon at this stage of the game
