Yeah, I read the article, and frankly I thought it was a rather honest moment for him. Most players would have some doubts about their ability to come back from injuries like he's had, and a bit of depression over not making progress as quickly as they would like. He's still working his butt off to come back, so it's not like he's given up.

I could see that. Indiana definitely improved, and they almost beat miami last year. If you want Lebron to leave miami, I would imagine they would have to get beat. Can't see him leaving after a 3 peat.

I'm rooting for the guy just like anyone else, but it's hard to watch him move on defense. It depends if he could put up with the pain. He has still has game on offense.

Well .... we're into double OT against the Sixers tonight ...... 116-116.

Cavaliers win it in double OT, on a bucket by Kyrie with 0.6 seconds left, 127-125. Nice, hard fought win!

Cavs 0-4 on the road. Bulls are 2-0 at home.
Any takers on the Cavs?

Call me crazy, but I think we win tonight.

Bulls/Cavs post-Lebron era has been heavy Bulls.
They aren't a good matchup for us. The Bulls rarely take games off on the defensive end, and we haven't been physical enough to keep up with them. I think we have just one win since Lebron left.
Some of the Bulls fans and media think Thibs is the greatest coach in the world (since Phil Jackson and Ditka, obviously) and that's far from true, but I will give him credit for getting his guys to get after it most of the 82.
It's just too bad it's a league driven by superstars. The playoffs is a totally different beast too. The elite teams play hard and play good D, so doing that in the regular season means squat.

do you think Rose has enough humility to let Hinrich or Butler guard Irving? if not, Kyrie could have a huge night because Rose is not yet Rose.
despite that, they are a better team than we are at this point, but not so much that I'd discount us winning in a 1 game sample.

I think he will start on Irving but I'm sure they will make a switch or at least dial the matchup back.
Here's to hoping Bynum piledrives Noah tonight.

I agree about Noah. Heck, their whole team annoys me (Rose, Boozer, Noah, etc.).
With the weather tonight, it would be nice to see if anyone dumped their tickets late on eBay.

There is no team here that I hate more than the Bulls.
I give their fans a lot of credit, because they have sold out games for some 30 years straight or something crazy like that, but Bulls fans annoy me.
They all hate Lebron, yet they were all ready to accept him before he chose Miami.
Like, at least he actually played for us. So you could understand the spite of some Cleveland fans.
I don't mind Derrick Rose, although having commercials about your "comeback" that have run for 2 years is kind of pushing it if you ask me.
Noah, Boozer, those guys can go to hell. I love when both no-show in the playoffs.
and LOLZ at some of the local sports talk callers who thought the upset was going to happen when Miami took game one last year. Lebron is lifetime 12-3 in the playoffs against Chicago. They are his B.
I hate the White Sox too, but a lot of the fans that I know are pretty knowledgeable on the game (they all don't try and rush the field to attack umpires)

i think its more to do with Mike Brown not being a very good coach.. His rotations and adjustments are like they were before...DUMB and he still can't come up with an offensive identity...Defense is alot easier to get better at. Defense is more about want to. But I pin the regression of the players on Brown. You had decent offensive weapons to work with and he just simply can't get it done. Hated the hire.

Heck we were a lot closer with bryon scott, and his defensive issues than we are right now. Last year I think we averaged close to 100pts a game, and that was with numerous injuries. We should be running and gunning, just like minnesota is, just like philly is. Way harder to score when you have anderson jacking up jump shots. If we would run, at least it would get our bigs some easy looks. Just a terrible brand of basketball. Even Philly is 5-5 with their limited talent, because their coach is just letting them play, free and easy. Evan Turner has never looked so good.
Mike Brown is really killing this team. If I were Gilbert, I wouldn't let this get out of hand. Brown needs to turn this around quickly.

League Pass question here, google and my cable provider are telling me the same thing.
If a game is blacked out on league pass, it's because that game is being televised on another channel, such as espn, TNT, abc, etc. That was not the case tonight, and apparently the game sat night was blacked out as well.
Anyone have experience with the league pass? Blackouts are no longer determined by game sellouts. I find it curious I can't google the answer, and my service provider has no answers either
This from nba league website
9. Do blackout restrictions apply to NBA LEAGUE PASS? Blackouts occur when a game is televised by a national network, including NBA TV, or your local sports station. If a game is blacked out, check the various TV schedules listed above and your local listings to find the correct channel.

I've never had league pass, but I know for baseball if a game is on your local market sports station, they will black it out on espn. Since you don't live in ohio, I'm not sure why it would be blacked out.

I never bought the NBA or MLB programs, because they had so many idiotic rules it was ridiculous. You may want to check and see if it is something like other games are blacked out when your hom team is playing, or some other such nonsense. What are the blackout rules for NBA LEAGUE PASS? http://leaguepasssupport.nba.com/link/portal/7801/7801/Article/143/-What-are-blackoutsWhat are the blackout rules for NBA LEAGUE PASS? Sports Blackouts for TV Sports blackouts are a factor in every programming distribution service. Blackouts are determined primarily according to who has the rights to broadcast a given game in a given area, and are defined by the NBA. Blackouts take place when a game is televised locally in your area via a regional sports network or an over-the-air station. If a game is blacked out on NBA LEAGUE PASS in your local area, you should tune to your local station to see the game. Games appearing on national television are not available live on NBA LEAGUE PASS. This applies to games being televised on ABC, ESPN, TNT, and NBA TV. You may view these games simply by switching to the designated channel. To learn which teams will be blacked out in your local area, go to the Blackout Finder tool on http://www.nba.com/leaguepass

Talked to 2 different comcast cable reps, they can't tell me why, all the blackout info on league pass basically says if the game isn't on your league pass, check a local station, I even tried calling the number on the league pass site, they just direct you to to a service provider.
Maybe I can find an nbalp email, apparently email support is not an option for Comcast.
Ha!! No email for nbalp or Comcast, that's customer service for you. It's 2013 and I
A Can't pay $200 to watch Cleveland Cavaliers games out of market B Can't find answers as to why I can't watch Cleveland Cavaliers games out of market.
Looks like the next step is to email the NBA, I'm sure that will go well.

haven't had that issue. NBA LP should only black it out if it's in-market or televised on another station (even if you don't get that station). In Colorado, that shouldn't be an issue for you and neither last night nor Saturday was televised on anything other than local and LP.
Sounds like a Comcast problem though because I had it on DISH.

I think the more I look at this team, the more I just don't like how it's all put together...
You can start with coach Brown. He's not the worst coach in the world, but right now this doesn't look good. None of us were really ecstatic when the hiring was made, again.
I don't like the pairing of Kyrie and Dion. I love KI, but I think you almost need to pair him with a bigger, physical guard who can shoot from the outside. Dion doesn't work well enough without the ball. I still think he can be part of the future because he seems ok coming off the bench, which is rare for a lottery pick.
We all love Bynum, but we are all waiting for the other shoe to drop.
I have no issues with Tristan. He's really impressed me. He could be better on defense but you can say that about 95% of the league.
Outside of Bynum, we have nobody to protect the rim. We allow way too many dunks/layups, and we get beat on the glass.
We have no outside shooting as of right now.
And then there's Anthony Bennett, although I stil think it's a little early to bury the kid, but I'm also not going to ignore what we are all seeing, or really what we're not seeing.
All of this above, is on Chris Grant. I don't know if there is a coach who comes in here and fixes this. Byron Scott and Mike Brown are both guys who have been in the league and stuck around. I don't think it's coincidence that both guys struggled.

About the whole NBA league pass thing.
I know why it can't work, because of the revenue and how each league wants it, but I was talking to a buddy the other day ... How awesome would it be if you could "build your own package"
Basically you could get say, 5 sports teams, and you would get access to all their games.
The reason I don't buy those sports packages is because, I don't care to watch White Sox vs. Twins in baseball or Raptors vs. Timberwolves in the NBA.
But if I could get a package for like $300 a year where I get ..
Kentucky basketball Kentucky football Cavs Browns Red Sox
... I'd sign up for that in a heartbeat.

I think the closest you will ever see is what NBA LP broadband does with their scaled down package. You can pick 5 teams for a reduced price.
I do think there is going to be an overhaul with the NFL and Sunday Ticket and the way they distribute games. Their exclusive contract ends after next season, and they have really been pushing their online access, basically giving it out for cheap.
I heard one person's theory that they think eventually the NFL will separate from FOX and CBS for the bulk of games, and instead putting them out on their network, with a bunch of added channels. The money would be all theirs outside of a cut to the service provider. National games would stay where they were, so that they would still be getting income from the networks.
It's an interesting theory, although I wonder what damage that would do to CBS and FOX.

The Bulls commentators kept saying how their defense was doubling KI and letting the others on the court beat them....and NOBODY else could. Maybe that's not a new defensive theory for KI, but maybe he's just tired of it. I know we were all hoping that someone on the court could help take pressure off him.
And yes, Bennett looks like a 2nd round pick. I'm still shocked at how bad he's playing. It's as if he's nervous AND doesn't have the talent to play at this level.
Oh well. They're probably one key injury away from winning 10 more games the rest of the year (not including Bynum, he's guaranteed to miss a huge chunk).

$110 for MLB package (and got free phone app this year too) $150 for NBA LP package (w/ special offer from DISH) $100 for special Madden that included all NFL games (likely only this year)
Total price for year of all games from 3 major sports = $360
Not too shabby and Ohio State is on TV for anything that I care to watch.

I read the cavs were working the phones trying to get a deal done. I agree about Waiters. He played his best last year when kyrie was out, and had the ball as a point guard. I would have him come off the bench, and play the pg position. maybe have jack in there to start.
I'm not ready to write off bennett. his offseason is well documented, but it definitely doesn't look good. Evan Turner took forever to develop, who knows, maybe he is a slow learner. Right now the odds look like he will bust. I wanted olidipo or mclemore.
I just believe Mike Brown is the wrong man for the job. The guy has coached 3 of the best players in this generation. Now he's with some young, unproven talent, and it really shows his inability to make guys flourish in his system. I know Grant has made some questionable moves, but I believe if Scoot was still here, or even George Karl, this team would be winning more, or at the very least enjoyable to watch.

I think we're trying to be carbon copies of the Spurs. I think eventually we will have Dion come off the bench. It's just that unfortunately right now we don't really have another starter at SG. So we still need a starter at SF and SG. Our bench would be completly set at that point.
Being realistic I can see us signing Lance Stephenson and drafting a SF.

They should've kept Ellington for the bench. He played some of his best ball with us for a half year. Plus he could hit the 3. He was limited, but he at least could shoot.
It's pretty darn hard to replicate the spurs. This looks a lot like bill's assistants trying to mold their team into the patriot way. Unless your team has Tim Duncan and Tom Brady that is hard to do. If Bynum had 2 good knees, we might have something, but that's hardly the case. Heck if we bomb this year, at least this a great draft to start a reboot.

Good news is that I think Gary Harris from Michigan State is going to be a phenomenal player himself. I think he can be better than Oladipo and Mclemore. Hell I like him more than I did Bradley Beal. He's as well rounded as it gets.
