He is listed at 6' 2 and 215 and ran a sub 4.4 at the combine.

We signed him from the Green Bay PS

Obviously he'll help us prepare for both the Detroit and GB passing games in practice.

Hoyer officially on IR

Or they know they are soon going to need another receiver.

If they trade Gordon, I'll be antagonistic on a level not yet shown.

We just cut Cooper and signed him to our practice squad. We only had 4 WR on the roster. (Gordon, Little, Bess, and Benjamin)

5 is about the minimum any NFL team can really get by with.

It is crazy to think only 4 receivers active in any version of the Coryell offense. The vertical routes are a constant. I believed we would carry 6 if not 7 receivers.

packers fans are mad. GB was trying to "hide" him on their PS after he had some injuries in the preseason.

everything i've read says he has a bright future

He has good size and excellent speed, and from what I have read, he's a natural hands catcher. I read one report that there were some character concerns as he switched schools midway through his college career, but could not find any specifics. I wonder how he is at running routes. I would have to assume that this is probably a weakness, since the rest of the package seems pretty promising.

I think the character concerns had something to do with stealing laptops or something like that ... the local college in my town plays Grand Valley State and there was a lot of talk about him IIRC

I don't know. Here's another that is really doesn't say much other than he was a double transfer:

Pro Day Review - March 15th | National Football Post
http://www.nationalfootballpost.com/Pro-Day-Review-March-15th.html

1. Grand Valley State: Charles Johnson, WR (6020, 215 and 4.36 – All from Pro Day): A very gifted athlete, Johnson’s workout Monday dramatically helped his draft stock. Most “double transfer” players are vied with real caution as there are usually some real character/maturity questions, but according to sources Johnson is a good kid who will not be a problem for an NFL team. Although he was highly productive, over 1,000 yards receiving in each of his two seasons playing football at Grand Valley State, NFL scouts told us that they felt he was still raw as a receiver and more of a developmental prospect who would be a late round selection. Not only did Johnson test excellent in the Combine drills at his Pro Day (He ran a 4.36 at 215 pounds, vertical jumped 39 ½ and broad jumped 11’1), but he had a very good positional workout. His routes looked sharper and more precise than expected; he showed good acceleration at start of route and explosiveness out of cuts. Most importantly, he caught the ball cleanly throughout the workout. While scouts in attendance cautioned not to over-react to Johnson’s workout, they all admitted that if you had not watched film before this workout you would probably consider him as at worst a third round prospect based on his Pro Day display. He will likely end up as a fourth or fifth round selection.

My very first thought that maybe a Deal for Little is in the works? can't see them trading away Bess or Gordan or Benji.

Interesting... Wonder if we are dealing someone or just note to fill our roster... Sounds like a solid pick up

We had an open roster spot from putting Hoyer on the IR. I wouldn't be surprised if we dropped Rainey or Whitaker.

I dont think a trade is in the works but this does put Little on notice. I think this is just the front office doing , do diligence.

Every play in this video you see him with his hands out in front of him and him looking the ball in.

His route running was basic but effective, although I did see him "Jump" a couple times into his cuts.

Curious to see if he get some separation from NFL DBs.

Wow, this guy has a FAST second gear once he pours it on and his change of direction is very fluid. Looks like he could do well in a vertical system where he is asked to burn it down field.

Really liked how he was shown to use the triangle and eyes to see the ball into his hands. Its a problem we still haven't got little to do yet.

Also, he doesn't show fear in going up for the ball. I like that kind of mindset.

I could just see secondaries fighting to keep up with Gordon, Travis, and this guy on the field. That is one FAST receiving corps.

at the .55 mark on the vid, you see him snag a pass and then boom, he's gone. Impressive. It could be an illusion in that the defenders aren't exactly all world or anything like that. but still, he's quick.

j/k

I do feel were getting into position to deal Little away to Atlanta, just a feeling

We may only get a 4th or 5th but hay it's better than having drop passes all day long.

After yesterdays loss I believe a couple players might be on thier way out, little is one of them.

Why would Atlanta trade for him at this point? They are 1-4, and the leader in their division is 5-1. They will get both Jones and White back next year. Where would Little fit, and why would they give up draft pick or picks for him?

With Julio on IR and Roddy not at 100% and their D stinking, I think the best move they can make is to call Andy Reid and ask if he wants Gonzo for a serious PO push. Alex Smith would be very dinkndunkful

Falcons aren't buyers and a 4th/5th isn't worth it. Selling low on Little is stupid, we already have 10 picks and the youngest roster around, it's not worth it any way I look at it. Just keep him

Maybe this is a signing to put pressure on our current WR's. Step up, or step out.

I think people are too obsessed with the notion that the new regime will hit a home run on every pick.

It would be a wonderful miracle, but the odds of that happening are astonishingly against it.

Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

Not just who gets picked, it is how you use them. Especially in the second half. This might just "suggest" a trade could happen. Look for QB next.

Something tells me the Packers aren't too happy this guy got jacked from them a week before Cobb and Jones got banged up.

Talk about timing. We'll trade them a few WR's for Rodgers though!

If they don't budge on Rodgers I would take Matthews. Although he is injured and we are pretty deep at outside linebacker.

Of course. He is the best qb in the league right now. Luck will overtake him at some point, but Rodgers is the best right now.

My point is that I think we could be a pretty decent team if we just got adequate qb play. We were pretty darn good w/Hoyer and he is a guy who was let go by at least 3 teams. Was he even drafted?

We would be a legit Super Bowl contender if we had Rodgers. The point is that the QB position is huge and we aren't going anywhere good w/Weeden at qb.

Oh.........lol.

I gotta admit..........this is so frustrating. Just when it was fun to watch the Browns again, our qb goes out for the year on a freak injury. It's like we are cursed. And now we gotta watch Weeden.
