Fun game.

I agree about going for it there but that was a dumb play to run. I would run a copy of one of those misdirection screens they burned OSU on.

I guess it's the Iron Bowl next.

Haha. That's a heck of a way to finish a game! I love it. Brady Hoke goes for two, which is a gutsy move, but if he was right, people would call it genius.

I'm not a big fan of college football's overtime, I guess it's better than the NFL's in some way. But it just adds a new dimension to the game. Kind of exciting sometimes. If anything, I wish that college overtime would start at like the 50 yard line or something. That way it isn't just a battle of the kickers.

Onto the Big Ten Title Ohio State! I'm not really a fan, but I'd like to see them go undefeated and hopefully Alabama loses to Auburn and they'll get their shot at the title.

Honestly, I live in Chicago now (moved in March). I root for Northwestern. So hopefully they'll finally get their first Big Ten win today. Although I watch Illinois too. (I like to root local except in NFL and college basketball). But my g/f works for Northwestern, and hopefully she'll be a PHD Wildcat student soon enough.

But yeah, one thing I'm beginning to love about the midwest thing is the Big Ten football. So, even though I like that Michigan fight song, I wanted Ohio State to win. And I guess Michigan is probably my least favorite Big Ten team anyway.

I just hate all the talk about FSU and Winston. Ohio State hasn't lost a game in like forever. So I'm really hoping they can get to the title

I kinda saw it coming had they scored with around 30 seconds or under.

I love the bias against Ohio State coming in. Had that been an SEC game, people would be talking about how great of a game it was, and for the team that won how they won that big game. Instead it's nothing but a knock on OSU's defense.

If there's a lot of points in an SEC game, it's awesome offenses. If it's in any other conference, nobody is playing defense.

I'm really peeved that a local kid, from Pickerington, freshman Tight end , Jake Butt is up there playing for that awful team, and scoring points, probably a better game than he's had all year.
If you are from Central Ohio, and you play football for Michigan. It's just disappointing.

In other news. I don't think Auburn will have the strength to get it done.

I am very glad we won the game but man o man that was one of the worst defensive performances I've seen in recent memory by OSU. I heard one of the announcers say we gave up somewhere around 600 yards of total offense. WOW. Someone needs to give those defensive guys a ripping.

Seriously, that was hard to watch. The defense did not look good. So many missed tackles, so many guys left wide open. I really hope Urban recruits that side of the ball hard this coming year.

I wouldn't worry bout that Julie.. there's going to be some starting positions available IMO..

Yanno.. my two favorite plays of the year have to be 2 jumped route interceptions: Tyvis Powell's and TJ Ward's

JC (Hi Jules)

Major props to Brady Hoke for going for 2. I heard him in the post-game saying they couldn't stop OSU's offense, so he decided to go for the win then and there. You could argue that OSU's D didn't stop UM all day either, but all things considered, I agree with - and admire - the call to go for it. Also glad they didn't run that throwback screen that worked like four times today. Where the hell was the D today?

Bama-Auburn tied in the 3rd qtr, 21-21. If Auburn wins, do they jump OSU to #2?

If Auburn wins, I think the ranings will be

1 - FSU
2 - Auburn
3 - Alabama
4 - OSU

Not what I think should happen but what I think will happen.

I guess it depends on if you're from the school that believes in "style points". OSU won a tough game in an extremely hostile setting, against an inspired UM. But - there's always a "but" - UM is now 7-5 and they took us right to the wire. I could see how some of the poll voters might think Auburn is better than OSU. Hell, they might be right.

First the stunning game in Michigan, then I turn on the Iron Bowl. Great game in it's own right, then the 4th quarter happens...

99-yard TD by Bama. Then the Tigers make a huge gamble on 4th and 1 from their own 35 and fail. Then the Tide go for a huge gamble on 4th and 1...and they fail. Then the Tide have a FG blocked and give up 15-extra yards on a penalty. And now the read-option pass for a TD.

Holy. Cow.

I don't want to think what may happen if people have to vote on whether or not an undefeated OSU team should get passed-over by Auburn...

Honestly kicking that 56 harder was really stupid with having 7 OL on your kick protect team.

It sure did! May the Alabama/SEC Empire finally fall!

I' d like to see how the BCS will justify keeping OSU out of the Top 2 now.

Greatest ending I've ever seen in my life.

I was a small kid when the Cal-Stanford game happened with all the laterals, but that was more than 30 years ago. I don't know which one was bigger.

What I can say for sure is that I haven't witnessed two endings to two back-to-back games like I saw today with OSU/Michigan and Auburn/Alabama, or perhaps more appropriately, I haven't seen two games with such epic 4th quarters resulting in such impactful endings.

The coaching staffs were screwing up left and right in the 4th quarter of the Iron Bowl. Neither coach should have gone for the 4th quarter gambles, the Auburn team was leaking time like crazy to end the game and got that long pass to (nearly) finish it, and then finally a 56-yard attempt by a Freshman knowing damned-well the kick could be returned?

Shocking. Glad my girlfriend is out of state visiting family so I could stay home and watch these games.

As an aside, people should be tuning in to the Clemson game to watch Tajh Boyd. He could be a guy on our radar come draft day, and is a guy I really like as a developmental QB.

All I can say is WOW. Can't explain what I just saw.

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."
