Well, the games start tonight. So we need to get the remaining two names in the next 2 hours. I can do the blind draw and post the results.

Blind Draw Tourney: Punchsmack ([8]NYIslanders,[3]Vancouver) Lebron James ([6]NYRangers,[2]Anaheim) TheSavior9 ([1]Buffalo,[1]Detroit) BrownsFan337 ([5]Pittspuke,[6]Dallas) Shotty66 ([7]Tampa Bay,[4]Nashville) KingSteve ([2]New Jersey,[8]Calgary) Ice Dog ([3]Atlanta,[7]Minnesota) PersonX ([4]Ottawa,[5]San Jose)
The team on the left is an Eastern Conference team and the Western Conference teams are on the right. Let the games begin!
TheSavior9 is the lucky one with both #1 seeds but this is the NHL and home ice doesn't guarantee anything. An 8 seed made it to the Cup Finals last year so we'll see...Good Luck!
PersonX is the next person who wants in. I thought about holding off on posting this right now but....I'd rather have the guys who wanted in know what teams they are.

Are we allowed to make trades? Or are we stuck with who we got dealt?

ottawa did look good, but pittsburgh looked terrible...
very sloppy play in their own end, fleury gave up a few soft goals, but it wasn't all his fault...
i still think ottawa will win this series, but the penguins will get back into it, for sure, they have too much talent on that team, and while they're young, a game like tonight can set them straight, and, if the penguins can respond next game and win, they get the upper hand going back to pittsburgh...
the vancouver/dallas game tonight is going to be great, if you like good goaltending, i don't think a lot of casual fans know just how good roberto luongo is... he makes his first playoff start tonight, and i think he's going to be spectacular, marty turco is very good as well...
i see san jose is beating up on nashville, but they lost cheechoo

Good point, LBJ. Not just casual fans but a lot of the more serious fans, too. Due to the scheduling of the NHL, a lot of fans in the east don't get to see the western teams play. Vice versa of course. Without Luongo, the Canucks wouldn't have got a sniff of the playoffs this year, let alone win their division. He probably won't win the Hart (eastern sportswriters outnumber their western counterparts) but he's definitely the Canucks' MVP and it ain't even close.

i think the mvp is going to go to either brodeur or crosby, you can argue either one of those guys, both have been key to their team's success...
i personally think brodeur should get it, but i'm biased, because i wear all that equipment
2 early goals in the vancouver/dallas game, good hockey though

And this may be Luongo's best hope for the Hart. Brodeur and Crosby could split the eastern voting bloc while Luongo carries the west.

Luongo is the best goalie ANYWHERE with bad D.
He saved roughly 45-50 shots EVERY night last year with Florida. He plays so well with a bad defense. He's been better this year with a good D. He's very good.
I wanna say that Ryan Miller will be the MVP. He's really good, which makes me sad as an Isles fan.
3-2 Vancouver. Really good game

I was going to comment on this earlier. Vancouver may have the best defensive corps in the NHL. Ohlund, Salo, Mitchell, Sopel, Krajicek and Bieksa are rock solid. What worries me is injuries. Ohlund (elbow) and Salo (groin) missed some games down the stretch. Sopel (back spasms) was scratched tonight. Bieksa has a bad ankle - tough kid though, he's playing through it.

Fifth longest game ever. I wouldn't be surprised if this series goes the full seven games and at least five of them go into overtime. Whoever gets to play the winner of this series will have a cakewalk into the Western Final.

Bolts are destined to get knocked out early most likely. Denis is not on our playoff roster, instead we are going with a backup goalie that has no NHL experience.

I made it through most of the game. I think I fell asleep a few minutes before the final goal. I couldn't fight it anymore. Great game though!

So Did the Isles!
UGH!@ But i guess thats what happens with bad D. A good goalie can only take a team so far. Wade did what he could today, but when the puck is in your zone the whole game, its hard to win.
Ugh...Now the hope is that Buffalo gets overconfident. But, prolly not. High powered offense meets bad D = slaughter

I only saw the 3rd quarter of the Isles-Sabres game, but the Islanders looked beyond terrible. Their defense was lackadaisical, and I only saw a few good shots. Definitely frustrating.
As Jason Blake said, they need to be more aggressive in game 2.

I really thought we were going to get swept by NJ. We are explosive on offense, but our defense is definitely a weak point. Holmqvist looked real good for us tonight though. Let's hope he can keep it up
