The Penguins are the only good thing that came out of my move to Pittsburgh. Series tied at 1. They best win here at home!

In the Pittsburgh game?

Dang, I just deleted the game from my DVR to watch it live (I watched most of the 1st period). I guess I should have watched all of it first.

I don't want to see it go 7. Hopefully the Pens win the next 3. (If I were watching this as a hockey fan I'd want ot see 7, but I'm viewing it as a Pens fan)

hahahaha, thats what i thought.

But cmon, can we really say anything? i mean really? We have no room to talk.

But i guess, this serves us back, we were given game 2 by the refs, and they gave it to buffalo tonite. I wouldnt have been angry with the call, if campoli hadnt just gotten it worse.

im angry to say the least

buffalo is still going to win this series...

but, after that, how far will they go? they look nowhere near the team they were in the season... dissapointing too, because the way they played during the season was great, good energy, great passing, an awesome tempo... i don't see it, i want them to win the whole thing, but i think they could be upset in the next round, assuming they get out of this one first...

i really think whoever wins that dallas/vancouver series, may go pretty far... the defense being played in that series is great, the goaltending has been phenomenal... a lot of people frown on defensive hockey, but i love it, it's good stuff... mistakes get exploited more in those kinds of games, and that's why those teams tend to go far in the playoffs...

the ducks have been the most impressive so far, with the red wings and canucks right behind, watch out for the rangers too, they're playing great hockey, and lundqvist is playing out of his mind...

i don't think the media should rip the nhl anymore, this first week of the playoffs has been all you can ask for, if you watch these games and don't enjoy it, you probably never will...

plenty of star power, good defense, good goaltending, and the atsmospheres in the arenas have been great...

most people won't give hockey a chance though...

Good points about the series'

Detroit has been equally impressive as the ducks.

Buffalo hasnt been the same team, i was talking to a friend, and they just arent attacking, and with the way Ottawa has been playing, they could easily win.

Heatley, Alfredsson, and Spezza can equal Buffalo's scoring lines and theyve been hitting way harder and skating way harder than Buffalo. So i could see them winning.

TB is the biggest surprise so far, while I wont take away from my Islanders making the series competitive even though its more been Buffalo playing bad.

The Rangers have been good on the road, and its just been a great playoff week, i hope it stays this way.

i put the ducks above the wings, only because detroit has not played on the road yet, but yes, detroit looks pretty good through 2 games

but calgary just seems to be mailing it in, i wonder if they even put up a fight tonight

This years leading goal scorer Vincent Lecavalier got his 4th goal in the playoffs to help the Bolts take the series lead and Marty St. Louis (who also had a career year) had 3 assists. Not bad for a couple of average players huh?

well the end tipped it off for me.

the beginning though that was horrible when those idiots were yelling during the silence for the virginia tech shootings and making fun of the national anthem that's what I"m more angry at how could any one do that?

I heard about that. Thats really effed up. But its hard to condemn a whole arena of people for a fep idiots.

Respect in this country is fading, I was very displeased when i heard about that. Im glad i didnt hear anything, cuz thats wrong on so many levels to do something like that.

Good point it is hard to condemned 150000 people for the actions of maybe 5. But the security should have got them out in the beginning that's not needed. ALso when they threw bottles where were the ushers did they not see this going on? I was afraid a player was going to get hit and a few people did when they bounced off the glass.

Don't know how you feel Steve, but that call on Robitaille at the end of the game was BS. It was not that blatant for NY to be penalized when the Islanders were down by 1, with 2 minutes left in the 3rd quarter of a playoff hockey game.

I look forward to game 4!

im angry. That was a terrible call, and what made it worse was the no call with campoli going down the middle with 2 sticks in his midsection and one taking him out at the ankle. I thought that was lame too.

My only rationale, to make me less angry about it, is that we were kinda given a gift with game 2 (questionable call giving us the PP that lead to Bergerons goal) but, that still doesnt make it ok.

This series has been poorly reffed from the start. Im displeased to say the least

The Pens are way outmatched. You could tell that in game 1 instantly. They are too young. Next year, they will be an absolute force. They need more vet presence on defense. It'd be nice to see them come back, but I think it'll be a 4-1 series.

if they pay to keep them, which they should in years to come, how scary with Crosby, Staal, Malkin, and Fleury, this team could dominate the NHL for years and years to come. Thats a scary 4

The debate was never about "the best" but it was about being ONE of the best in the game meaning one out of a handful of people.

50 goal scores apparently grow on trees these days...oh wait, only two people did it and only one player scored more than 50. Care to guess who that was? The debate originally centered around goal scoring. How can the person who scored the most goals in the NHL not be considered one of the best? Thats like saying Ryan Howard wasn't one of the best last year in the HR catagory.

Also, players getting over 100 points must grow on trees too huh? Oh wait, once again there were only 7 players this year who got 100 points and only 5 players went over 100. 2 out of those 5 were on the Lightning. To be one of the best players in the league, you need to be able to not only score the goals but to also be able to create them. Also apparently former MVP's who outperform their MVP season are also a dime a dozen.

I find it hilarious how you can't spot talent when you see it. I have no problem in saying that Ovechkin is one of the best players in the league. At the same time, dismissing players who have already proven themselves to be at the top level and still continue to get better even after signing their big dollar contracts is idiotic.

That Tampa and Jersey series might go seven. Nothing better than game 7 hockey!

...well maybe game 7 overtime hockey.
