Is it just me or is anyone else having trouble with the fingerscrossed and Brownie smilies? I have red X's on my reply page and when other people use them in a post. What could be happening? It's been this way for three or four days.

I see them just fine. Could be a caching issue.
Try deleting your temporary internet files and/or just right-click on the 'x' and select "reload image" (or whatever it says).

I cleaned my cookies on the board as well..still the same problem. Using att&t/Yahoo! browser.

ok, that's an IE based browser I think.
Right clicking and selecting 'Show Picture' did nothing?

I didn't have that option. "Save Picture as" is grayed out, though, and it's not on the other smilies I can see.

those sound more like what you would get if you right-clicked on the links I posted.

I can't see them either. I right click on the box with the red X and then click on show picture and nothing.

Purp. I was posting yesterday from a computer using AOHell and they didn't show up for me either. They work fine from home or here at work.

I wonder if there is something about them causing certain browsers/services to flag them as needing to be blocked??
That would be really surprising if that is the case.

all of you are defective It works just fine for me from multiple computers with both IE7 and Opera.

Using Windows Internet Explorer - I think version 7

We have something called a T-1 phone line (??) for
super fast internet here at work
For the most part I can see the smileys in the posts, but sometimes there is just a box with a red X and I can't get it to open

Sometimes they are there and sometimes not..but if you hover your mouse over where they are supposed to be, you'll notice that the little description comes up.. Wierd,,
