Can't make chicken salad out of chicken crap.

Give them a chance to get their players in and their program established. I think that we have a good staff, but are under-talent at crucial spots.

This offense will see major changes next year. The defense needs a couple of pieces too.

Last thing I want to do is win a meaningless December game anyway.

Let em score and run out the clock. We're doing a pretty good job of that it seems.

Agreed.

Win or lose, NOBODY will remember this game. Winning late season games have never helped with a "winning culture."

It looks like a team in year 1 evaluation mode of a total blow up, tear down and rebuild.

Sorta like what happens when you replace an owner, GM, coach, O-Coord AND D-Coord in the same season. Who woulda thunk it? To me, anybody who thought this wasn't a 3-5 year blow up and rebuild from the ground up was kidding themselves.

I wonder how Peyton Manning will feel about this record once his team loses early in the postseason again this year.

Not really. We could have gotten a lower pink by winning, but we don't get a higher pick by losing.

Yeah but .....

We have dropped passes today, continuing a season long trend. We have seen Little and Gordon each drop a TD pass today.

2nd and goal from the 2 and we make a mental error that costs us 5 yards.

Crucial mistakes at crucial times.

Next year Little will be gone. I see no way he survives this off-season.

Campbell has been badly off target when guys haven't been dropping balls. He will not be the starter next year.

We will upgrade the RB spot, and the OL. 2, or maybe even 3 spots will be replaced on the OL.

Sometimes I find it amazing that we have been able to score at all, given the mess we have at a lot of spots.

ytown...i know you trying to make it positive.

but we got beat, bro. we got ran all over, we got thrown all over. our Wr couldn't catch, our QB couldn't throw, our OL could not win the battle at the LOs.

we have digressed in every aspect of the game, we are NOT a top ten defensive team, the side of the football we literally spent the entire time on this off season.

I'm irritated by the defense too ....... but we do have talent there.

I am immensely disappointed in that we cannot seem to get pressure on the opposing QB any more. That is my biggest disappointment on that side of the ball. It seems like we pulled back and refuse to rush more than 4, ever. We run the prevent defense late in the halves, and we get destroyed. We should be abusing the opposing QB, but we are not. I really don't know why that is.

We will make massive changes on offense. I know this with all of my being. I have been saying it for weeks and weeks now, but we will add 2 receivers, a backup TE, 2 OL (or maybe 3, depending on Mack) a QB, and a RB.

Basically we will rebuild much of the depth chart on offense. This year was to see what we have on that side of the ball, and the answer is, not much.

We added pieces on defense, but it is obvious that we still need more. We have a ton of draft picks, and a bunch of cap space, so we can add a lot of help this coming off-season. I am not happy with 4-11, but it is what it is. We now know what we have in this offense, and this defense. We now know, for sure, where we need help.

I don't want excuses next year though. I don't expect a Super Bowl team, but I do expect a team competing for the playoffs late in the season. I think that we should expect to make the playoffs in year 3. I want to see progress as we go along. We know where we are right now. We should have a good idea of where we need to improve. now it's almost time for the front office to work their magic in the off-season.

We need to find our QB, so that should be our 1st priority. However, we can utilize the "best player available" after that, because we have significant holes remaining on this team.

Easier said than done on the QB. I see nobody in the draft that we will be able to touch.

Boyd can spin the ball. But I think he is gone unless we trade away a lot of picks.

And if we draft one player in the draft that makes everyone go "who!?"
We will be in the same boat we always are.
"Wait until next year"....etc, etc, etc,...JMHO.

you're making absolutely no sense. first off the texans have improved every post season, went from losing 1st round to winning and getting to the divisional round.

the broncos were in the AFC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME.

in what world do you live in that having a 1st round pick every year equal to being good? i'lll take post season play every single time over having a high round draft pick.

you said i'll be a perfect nba gm? yea, cause you're line of thinking has worked wonders for the cleveland cavaliers right? 3 1st round pick back to back? thats working great..oh wait.

i can't believe you'd take being the bottom of the afc north every year over post season play. thats simply ridiculous.

Did this defense stop even one third down play today? They suck. Our offense sucks, but everybody knew they would. But this defense is so overhyped it is crazy. They have cost us four straight games. I have never seen a defense that is so clueless on third down. They seem to have no idea where to line up or who to cover.

People love DQ, but IMO he is about as good as Andre Davis was. He hits a guy in the backfield, and is driven three yards down field. Robertson and Jackson are both mediocre at best. Without Bryant, we have no run defense. Usually that is where your ILBs come into play. Ours can't get off blocks, can't cover TEs or backs, and are pushed backwards anytime they hit a RB. IMO they are the weakest link in our defense.

I like jackson's hustle and leadership, but his play is not game changing. ILB's always put up big tackle numbers, it is the nature of the position. Good ILBs stop runners in the hole, and make impact on the passing game. Our ILBs are a liability every week. For decades I have watched teams throw the ball over the middle to uncovered receivers, and watched as they run straight up the middle for long gains on third down.

To let the Jets perform like they did on offense today, is a slap in the face to anybody who has praised the defense all year.

IMO, our defensive "stars", including Haden are about as over rated as you can get.

The Steelers are going to mop the floor with this team next week, just like they do every December. Hell, they will probably get the wildcard spot by beating us.

The coaching isn't as bad a many say it is. And I understand the installing of new schemes on both sides of the ball takes time. But, how does a team regress like this? It is maddening. I expect next year to be the same crap as this year.

This team sucks period.
I hope Haslam scraps everything that has to do with the "legacy" people want to cling to. The only legacy this team possesses, is constant bad play and horrible drafting. I honestly don't see how they can fix it. I'm really after 40 years, ready to move o. I can't believe it either. I am usually ptimistic about the coming year, but I am done with that. I can't even fake trying to beenthusiastic. Every year that passes makes me more and more embarrassed to admit this is the team I root for. It makes me sick to think of another year of this crap.
