Good stuff <img src="/images/graemlins/rofl.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/images/graemlins/rofl.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/images/graemlins/rofl.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/images/graemlins/rofl.gif" alt="" />

I know the owner of CAPW. At least it used to be JT Lightning. They were a rival federation that I did NOT wrestle for. One thing you have to understand about the "local" indies...there aren't alot of REALLY big guys. My first match, I swear the dude I had to work a match against was 5'6" & 85 lbs while I went 6'3" & 315..looks kinda dumb.

The local indy shows are great. I don't live in the Cleveland area anymore, but I think the Bouncer used to be a member of "Klub Extreme" or something like that.

I went to some wrestling thing like 10 years ago, it might have been Cleveland All Pro Wrestling. The last match they put tacks all over the mat and had barbwire wrapped around the ropes. I just remember the two guys had tacks stuck in them all over the place and the one guy was grinding one of the spikes on the barbwire into the other guys head...
Joe Thomas made Justin Timberlake change his name. He didn't want wusses to have the same initials...

I was flipping through the channels and saw Samoa Joe wrestling for them. Joe's probably the biggest name to never be in WWE. I was pretty fascinated.

That sounds like the wrestling that the Barbarian started in.

That sounds like the wrestling that the Barbarian started in. The Barbarian from the NWA? (...and the cheap ripoff the WWF did in the late 80's of the Road Warriors with Barbarian and Warlock)

Alot of the shows I worked on ended in barbwire, thumbtack, barbwire baseball bat matches, etc. We had one Christmas Show, I think it was called "Seasons Beatings" (a LONG time ago) in which the final match was a Xmas Tree Battle Royale. There were "gifts" wrapped under a Xmas tree and each wrestler selected one. In that "gift" was their weapon for the battle royale. Fortunately, I wasn't dumb enough to bleed (cut my forehead) for any of those guys. I told them I'm not swapping blood with ANYONE although I did get wrapped up in barbwire one time.
CAPW will get some "names" to work for them. I know that Tracey Smothers and other guys from ECW have worked for them. Some of the guys we brought in for our shows were Snuka (I could tell you some stories about that one), The Bushwackers, Dan Severn, Abdullah the Butcher, Public Enemy (RIP) and many others.
