This is for the PS2

Im in the off-season and I need to cut ome guys to make room on my roster for the draft picks and everytime the game freezes when I cut someone? Anyone else have this problem or have a way around it? <img src="/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />

That's why I stopped buying EA products. Too many glitches.

Ive always been a huge EA backer, but I was pretty dissapointed after finding this glitch and another one. When you play the Raiders, One of their endzones says Panthers.

Now, I know that is small, but it irks me. If I was a Raider fan I would pissed. How can you let that slip through?

I was a HUGE ea sports fan. I would blindly buy their games without much question. And for a time, they were the best stuff sports game company on the market.

However, they've gone soft the last 3-4 years I don't know if its having to code for too many systems (PS, PS2, Xbox, Xbox 360, Gamecube, Wii, PS3, PSP....), the fact they spent all their money on the NFL license, or they just don't care.

I bought NCAA 07 for the PSP about 3 months ago. It had a run glitch that made the game unplayable. I'm not exaggerating. If you touched an opposing player but weren't tackled, you would be down at that yard line regardless of you running or passing for more yards. Even when you plowed into the line of scrimage on a 3rd and 1....you would be down right where they touched you, not where you ended up on the ground. How could an error like that make it out on the street? I e-mailed and posted on their message boards and NOTHING....not even a word. I'm sure they eventually fixed it but months too late. And this was after they messed up huge on the 06 version too!

They're lazy. They don't have 2K to push them. All they're games are sloppy and rushed. I'm not buying their junk for a very long time.

Well, we figured a way around it, you can skip that part and let the CPU sign the guys so we didnt have to cut anyone, the CPU did that also.

Another glitch is that when you import the draft class from NCAA, a lot of the white players are black. Like my buddy drafted Brian Brohm and he is black, kind of weird. But I guess thats EA for ya these days. <img src="/images/graemlins/mad.gif" alt="" />

Do the games have to sync up? Like, I can't take a class from NCAA '06 into Madden '07, correct?

I'm pretty sure that you would need NCAA 07 to import a draft class to Madden 07...

Ive never tried it, but im almost positive that they would have to both be from the same year.

That's what I thought. I hadn't bothered trying it as I assumed EA would do that.

Kinda off topic here a little but when is the scheduled release for Madden 2007 for the PS3?

I would stay very, very far away from a Madden on a new system. Just ask the people that bought the first Madden on the 360. Heck, ask the people that just bought the latest Madden on the 360. Give it a few years and then look back into it. Don't waste your money on early Madden games for new systems. Trust me.

...its also a good idea to hold off on the new systems. Let the dust settle, the prices drop, and more games to come out.

I couldnt agree with you more. I want a 360 so bad, but I cannot get past the poor gameplay on the new Madden/Ncaa. The most recent versions on the PS2 are so much realistic as far as controls are concerned. I might give the new nintendo a shot. Nintendo is consistent.

My god, this is the whiniest thread ever. I bought Madden 07 for my Xbox and I love it. I have no problems with it and think it is a great game. I don't ever buy the NCAA games because I don't really dig playing college ball.

But Madden 07 is a great game, period.

TD, how is it whining to complain about a defect in a game that you have spent 60.00 on?

Cause I've never noticed any defects, and the ones people complain about are often small and petty.

$60.00 is still worth it because the game provides hours & hours of enjoyment that lasts until next years comes out. I play my friends in Madden all the time, I build franchises, I have a great time.

I'm glad that you have never been unsatisfied with a Madden game, but if somebody else is unsatisfied with a Madden game, that doesn't make them a whiner.

I have played both Madden, and NCAA, on the 360, and I am upset with the quality of gameplay. It is a lot harder to control whichever player you have placed your cursor on. Neither game presents a realistic product. If either game were nearly as good as they are on PS2, or Xbox1, I would have gladly purchased a 360 by now and purchased either, or possibly both, games.

Like I said, I am glad you enjoy the game, but, in my opinion, you are in a minority when you claim that Madden '07 for the 360 is a quality game.

I have had Madden on PS1, PS2 when each new system come out (even all the Nintendo's and Sega's) and even though the bugs are there it dosent stop me from playing them and enjoying them either. I go all the way back to the early systems of the 70's and 80's...IM OLD!!!!! I buy them and play them regardless!!!!!!!

But you guys still havent answered my question.
