He REALLY likes #12.

That 2nd picture...looks PAINFUL. I actually just finished a 4 hour session yesterday on my inner forearm and man did that not feel great. I don't think I could ever manage something on my ribs.

1. Saw Josh Gordon thread
2. Saw versatile as last poster
3. Expected a negative or condescending response

I have a piece across my left chest. Starting VERY near my sternum. Ending below my armpit. Lets just say there is nowhere you can hide from the pain. At its highest point it comes within a 1/4" of my clavicle. Again, no hiding. When that needle gets close to bone your pain receptors sing.

To be fair, most aren't applauding the coming out of the closet. That's one side of the extreme (and trust me, there's a very dark, negative side too). Most, in the middle, are just accepting this new wrinkle in pro sports and moving on. I'll be happy when it's like an actor coming out in Hollywood...you may or may not ever hear because it's page 10 news. I swear, I must have been the last person to hear Neil Patrick Harris was gay last year. And I barely blinked. Meh, so what.

And Portland, I could only imagine the pain. I had my guy doing detailed work within an inch of where you give blood, wow....that was intense. And it wasn't easy near my inner wrist too. Most of everything else was standard needle work. I don't think I'd ever get any work done on my chest or back, but then again, I never thought I get a tattoo 15 years ago (and I'm 75% done on a left arm sleeve).

No freakin' way!

I have spent years trying to stay away from pain, and I will never understand those who voluntarily pay to have pain inflicted upon them.

As a side note, I suspect that Gordon will be able to get his beloved 12 back this coming year. Hopefully he doesn't tank wearing 12 ........

Man, I don't know why I was thinking he wore 13 last year.

My brain has been fuzzy for the past few days. Bleh.

The kid wants to ink up his body??? Ok, I could care less but let the kid do what he wants.

I was actually worried upon seeing this that there could have been some drug references but good thing that is not the case.

Cool. Josh Gordon got a tattoo.....time to move on.

I always thought that a Phoenix with a flame trail bursting through the middle of an Ankh would be pretty darn cool. That would be 2 signs of life in conjunction with one another.

I actually drew it up once, when I was a kid, and was going to get it done ....... then I decided to spend the money on a date or something instead, lol

I know it's hard, but could you at least TRY to not act like an ass all the time? No reason be condescending, is there…especially when your comparisons don't equate? It's a lot easier to let things that don't affect you roll off your back than to keep droning on and on about them. Just sayin'.

See, that's where my eye went when taking in his ink. I was like "Hmmm...dude inked a carp onto his back."

The girlfriend is sleeved and half-sleeved, respectively. Back work done as well. She's been in some magazines. I don't have any tats. Have no feeling about them one way or another. She loves them and each one is an expression of something that is meaningful to her. To those who don't understand tats, I would ask you if you have any pictures of loved ones sitting in a frame? Do you have any artwork in your abode which you identify with or note that it has meaning to you? In many ways a tat holds the exact same emotional value for some.

Tats are a very personal expression. Some feel the need to express themselves outwardly to others, some feel only the need to express themselves...to themselves. It's not about the pain. Pain is fleeting and temporary. It's the expression which matters.

Just don't get a bad tat.

I have to laugh again at Gordon's fish. It's angry. Sorry, never have seen an angry carp.

I sure hope he has plans for the other side, because from a pure esthetics viewpoint his back is now terribly unbalanced visually. Maybe he should get Joe Banner with a fishing pole hooking that carp with Lombardi standing next to him throwing dollar bills into the air making it rain.

***Gordon, I really didn't think you could be this stOOpid, but you exceeded my expectations. Wussy.

Banner and Lombardi? That regime is so 15 minutes ago (literally).

I'm not a fan of the ink so when I see that picture, first thought for me is "could've used all the money spent on that for a half year's worth of beer supply instead"

Well, if Gordon is in the substance abuse program, he can't.

Speaking of, we need a new beer/wine thread. With all this crappy weather, I've been stuck in the house enjoying specialty drinks.

I don't have any tats. Wouldn't get one. Don't mind at all that others get them. Some of them I like, on others.

My only concern with Gordon's is the number 12. What if he chooses to leave the Browns when his contract is up and he can't get the number 12 from his new team? Like he signs with New England. Tom Brady is number 12. He ain't gonna give that up for nothin'. Imagine the jokes in the NE locker room. Fanboy. lol

To me it's akin to getting your girlfriend's name tatoo'd and then breaking up with her because she gained 50 lbs and took on the disposition of a rhinoceros. Now you gotta get some stupid tatoo that means nothing to you just to cover her name.

What the heck would cover that number 12?!

Maybe that's a sign he's not leaving.

It felt nice having a legit playmaker on the team....a legit guy in the discussion for best at his position...he's Calvin Johnson with speed. It felt even better when you could here the sincereity in his voice that he'd rather win than accumulate those stats.

My hopes for the Browns this year:

1. Draft Bridgewater or hope Hoyer can be that one in a thousand success story.
2. Pettine is the real deal.
3. Gordon stays out of trouble....forever.

Calvin Johnson ran a 4.35 at the combine.. I believe Gordon's best time is unofficial but isn't quite that good... let's not get carried away.

Maybe I should have clarified that...btw, I wasn't aware that C.Johnson did that.

But game speed-wise I've never seen Johnson make a play like the ones Gordon made against JAX and New England. They were nothing but pure speed. In-game I don't see that kind of speed from Johnson. Not to take away from him...he's currently the best at what he does....overall.

Fair enough. I can honestly say I haven't watched enough of the Lions to remember Calvin Johnson's individual plays... I'll just say that if Gordon continues in the discussion with Calvin Johnson, I'll be very happy... the rest are details.

I see what Rish means. To me it seems those nagging knee problems have slowed Calvin Johnson down a bit over the past couple of seasons. But his physical presence is second to none IMO

Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.
