So there's a thread for The Walking Dead and True Detective but there's not one for the best show not on TV, House of Cards. Kevin Spacey is compelling, ruthless, and acting his arse off as a congressman with aspirations of greatness. Amazing writing. Great storylines. With a cast of relative unknowns making Netflix a huge success.
Anyone else watching?
I'm almost done with season two. So please no spoilers.

I just started my binge watching this weekend. Season 1 episode 8 so I will need to stay out of this thread when it takes off. I can see why this is touted as an excellent series.

Just wanted to comment that I REALLY REALLY like how these non-tradtiional / non-over-the-air sources are killing it with great shows. Breaking Bad, Walking Dead, House of Cards, Sons of Anarchy, etc... Taking great advantage of the freedoms afforded when not going over the public air.

It's in my Netflix Q. Will get there eventually.

I've read several times that the extraordinary acting and directing (My man, David Fincher did the pilot, maybe more, in season one) cover up a LOT of plot holes. What do you say about that, Portland?

I will say that there are a few plot holes but the acting, writing, and pace of the story make moving past them easy. You don't have time to look back because of the pace. The writing makes you long for more, instead of nitpicking what has passed.

Yeah, i watch it. Season one was great and i'm about 4 episodes into season 2.

I love it. As i'm watching it, I can't help but wonder how much of this type of manipulation is reality in DC?

That's a binge?!
Then what did I do? I started on Saturday and got to episode 6 or 7 of season two by Sunday evening. 19-20 episode/hours.

I love shows that break the 4th wall well. The Gary Shandling Show was a favorite of mine bavk in the day because of the obsurd levels he took it. Malcolm in the Middle did it well. Spacey's (Underwood's) spoken inner dialog is great and gives an important view into his conniving mind... but the subtle looks he gives the camera at times are just classic.

That's a binge?

I watched the entire thing in one sitting after I came home from date night. Wait. Maybe I shouldn't be proud of that

Just an amazing series, while I doubt that politicians are so easily swayed in real life, I doubt it's very hyperbolic.

Wow did you get a feeding tube and a catheter? At roughly 51 minutes per episode, 13 episodes per season, two and a half seasons... There's about 25 hours of TV to watch after date night, in one sitting.?
