21 of 26 FGs, 80.8%, just off a quick google, don't recall if any of those misses were long and/or terrible weather kicks which would make them ok.
Overall that puts him as the 25th most accurate kicker in 2013, but again, he plays in CLE so you expect a couple rain/snow misses.

Phil Dawson got the taste of WINNING and winning consistently, he probably looking at our 4-12 record, coach staff firing, front office firing and saying... "damn, I sure am glad I am not a part of that circus anymore". I still want Phil to win the superbowl. I couldn't think of a more deserving person to get a SB ring than him.
As for Billy, think the longer the kicks are the better of a chance he has of making them. I'm not as confident when our kicking unit comes out with Billy or whoever as I once was when we had Phil. It is what it is though.

Yup, I agree. He wasn't All-Pro level, but he was solid.
If nothing else, we have the spot filled and don't have to scramble, yet we position ourselves to be able to upgrade without worry if the opportunity presents itself.

6 for 11 from 40 on is pretty bad. It's only a one year deal and I don't want to burn a pick in this deep draft on a kicker, but I hope he gets some serious competition next camp.

Cundiff wasn't exactly All-Pro. The problem with kickers is that the ones who do really really badly are generally the rookies or vets who collapse. So finding a quality replacement can be tricky and isn't really worth the effort most of the time. Unless of course we sign Kickalicious. That would be an acceptable risk

It would be, but too bad those numbers are wrong.
Add up the numbers you are using. Does it equate to 21 out of 26?
Let's use the real numbers, shall we?
7 for 7 under 30 yards. 5 for 6 from 30-39 7 for 9 from 40-49 2 for 4 from 50+
He also had one kick blocked on a blocking break-down.
Furthermore, he pulled a quad and was not kicking at 100% for a couple of weeks.
Changes the story a bit, doesn't it?

I don't seem to call playing in Cleveland having an impact on the accuracy of that last kicker we had. What was his name again?
But yeah, I can see how folks would be happy going from him to the 25th most accurate kicker in the league.

Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

It does. That's solid NFL average. Good deal anyway since it's only one year and barely over his vet minimum. We won't waste a pick on a kicker. Guess it will be a UDFA competition or Bogotay again

Honest mistake.
I was believing it to, but then I started thinking I didn't remember him missing that many kicks, so I looked it up.
I think he was solid last year. I was expecting much worse and thought it was going to get ugly after all the Dawson threads in the summer.
Cundiff never really gave us a reason to complain. He's not great, but he's solid.

Yeah was pleasantly surprised with Cundiff.
thought we were in a mess when our kicker got hurt and then we got Cundiff from nowhere. He did well when we had him the first time when Dawson got hurt.
He's gotten more comfortable...so much of the game is about a comfort level. I think he has reached his. Also if anything the Browns is a beacon of Stability when it comes to kicker. well I crack myself up.
Defense wins championships. Watson play your butt off! Go Browns! CHRIST HAS RISEN! GM Strong! & Stay safe everyone!

Well it def proves my thought wrong lol. I didn't recall him being clutch under the 30 but facts are facts and that's why I love them, especially when they're accurate
Not bad when I look at those numbers. Most kickers are questionable at 50+ and I think at least one of those four, he was kicking with that tight quad or groin if I am not mistaken?

Yeah, he injured his quad.
Also, do you remember the 58 yarder that was dead-on, but fell inches short? Take out the one block that was not his fault and he was 21 out of 25.
I thought the guy did a very good job last year.

He was definitely the right kicker to replace Phil Dawson, and handled the swirling winds of CBS very well. He was about as clutch as anyone in the league.

Theres still quite a few that can't get it out of the end zone. Cundiff produced a team-record 42 touchbacks on 62 kickoffs. His 67.7 touchback percentage ranked fourth in the NFL.

This is a non-event for me... Cundiff is ok. I guess if we get better and have more meaningful FG attempts, his importance will be magnified... I still hope we bring in a couple college kids to compete with him..

It was an honest mistake. We all make them. It was corrected. I don't see any problem.
