So we've cut Weeden and Campbell, how much cap does that free up? That leaves us with Hoyer and Tanney...that's scary

Tomorrow is the most important thing in life. Comes into us at midnight very clean. It's perfect when it arrives and it puts itself in our hands. It hopes we've learned something from yesterday. -John Wayne

#Browns have released 2 QBs today — Brandon Weeden & Jason Campbell. Who will join Brian Hoyer? Don’t be surprised if it’s Matt Schaub

Matt Schaub is better than any QB who was or is on the market. He's not going anywhere anytime soon.

Before anyone asks, the Texans aren't interested in Brandon Weeden or Jason Campbell. Texans are keeping Matt Schaub for a while.

Schaub is still a Texan, correct?

We wouldn't TRADE for him, would we?

No. We don't want his contract and we don't want to give up a pick.

To be fair, everyone already knew we were interested in all the guys on that board besides Verner.

Yeah but, is the order they're in of any importance and what do those brackets around a few of those names mean?

Inquiring minds want to know.

Verner and Carroll are the only "surprises" that I haven't read.

Weeden is a cap hit. I think we lose about $2 million in space for dumping him.
No idea on Campbell.

...

At least it wasn't our draft board in the background of the photo.

yeah I hope they are more discreet with their draft board.

BTW cutting Campbell frees up $3.25 mil I believe, so we gained $1.25 mil today

Pretty embarrassing

Should never happen, but can in the heat of the moment. They probably haven't slept for 2 days now and I'd rather have a GM have a stupid brainfart like that happen than some incompetent, paranoid control freak

It's still embarrassing though

Campbell was due a 250k roster bonus and because he played some 40+ % of the offensive snaps, he increased his base 2 mil for 2014 (or what would have been) by a mil.

The bracket guys probably are going somewhere else or have priced themselves out...that's my best deductive guess.

Though there are green and black brackets, could mean that no other pencil was at hand OR that the black brackets are already ours for sure (Moats?) and the green one's are gone

Anyway, good to know that we're still in it with Revis, lol

My god is this embarrassing....but fun

They'll learn.
A single, large sheet of paper takes care of it. Tape it to the top of the board, flip it down anytime people that aren't cleared for the info are in the vicinity - BEFORE they can even enter the room.

On the flip side, by the time this photo was taken, most of this information was no longer sensitive... we were already pretty much in the open with all of it by then, so it doesn't really matter at all that it was seen.

Browns is the Browns

Oh it does...any information does. It gives all other teams and agents the info they need to know about our depth of options AND which guys we are not after....

Unless that board was strategically set up in that spot as a smoke blowing machine.

I really want to know what the deal is with that pic. I'm hoping someone asks Farmer about it. If it really is strategic information then that is a bad blunder. What do the green vs. black brackets mean?

Bill Belichick: "Hey Lombardi, you worked with Farmer... what do those brackets usually mean when Farmer uses them?"

Lombardi: "Oh, he uses them for....."
