Since you asked, here's the first thing that jumps off my head:

Derek - 1st choice
Dominic - 2nd choice
Conner
Carter - is a last name, not a first
Cooper - sounds like a tire name, rhymes with pooper - could lead to teasing
Carson - reminds me of Johnny, or the city in Nevada

Yeah... the "Cooper Pooper" thing has been a topic of discussion.
Thanks for your input.

Here's my order:

Derek
Carson
Carter
Cooper

Other ideas:
Calvin
Bernard (Bernie)
Seven (for you Seinfeld fans)
Kyle
Dylan

Carter is the only one that doesn't have that "preppy" ring to it.

And even it reminds me of liver pills!

Whatever happenned to manly names like Joshua,Jerimiah, and Roy.

Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

The problem with the "new" names is they are being way over used IMO. Everyone is Carter these days...mostly from Noah Wyle on ER. And don't even get me started on alternative spellings of common names. Mylissah for Melissa? GMAB.

Well my Calvin, Kyle and Dylan met their "K" and "D" sounding names...just trying to help.

And yes, stay away from Cooper unless you want your son nicknamed "Coop" or "Poop".

Carson reminds me of Carson Daly....and I want to punch that tool for being so fake.

Out of those I liked Derek and Carter the best. They're both normal names and uncommon to me. I also like Aaron that's a pretty sweet name.

Derek, Dominic, and Carson not so much...Carter was one of our finalists...Connor is ok...i like the nickname Coop when he's older, but it'd be rough getting through gradeschool...

while everyone's in the mindset, we're at a stalemate for middle name...

Henry
William
Edward
Asher

Go with the name from the Seinfeld episode "The Seven"

George and Susan, heading home from the restaurant. George is happy,
smiling and whistling.

GEORGE: I think they really went for that Soda.

SUSAN: What, are you crazy? They hated it. They were just humouring
you.

GEORGE: Ah, alright. Believe me, that kid's gonna be called Soda.

SUSAN: I can tell you, I would never name my child Soda.

GEORGE: Oh, no no no. Course not. I got a great name for our kids. A
Real original. You wanna hear what it is? Huh, you ready?

SUSAN: Yeah.

George uses his finger to draw a number 7 in the air, accompanying the
Strokes of his digit with a two-tone whistle.

SUSAN: What is that? Sign language?

GEORGE: No, Seven.

SUSAN: Seven Costanza? You're serious?

GEORGE: Yeah. It's a beautiful name for a boy or a girl...

Susan scoffs.

GEORGE: ...especially a girl. Or a boy.

SUSAN: I don't think so.

GEORGE: What, you don't like the name?

SUSAN: It's not a name. It's a number.

GEORGE: I know. It's Mickey Mantle's number. So not only is it an all
Around beautiful name, it is also a living tribute.

actually, we didn't even know it was a name at first...my niece died when she was 4...her middle name was Ashley, so we thought it would be nice, since we couldn't agree on any traditional 'family' names (grandpa, great grandpa, etc.)...

I still think you can't go wrong with the name GMdawg

Just remember if you chose a longer first name it WILL get shortened by his friends, so what sounds better?

Uhhh, need I state the obvious???

Carson Palmer.

My favorite is Dominic and its not because I already have a loveable nephew with that name.

If I had to pick a second choice, I'd say Carter. JMHO.
