Stromboli....ok you made me hungry...been awhile since I had a good Stromboli...
I know you know this, I'm not telling you anything you dont already know, but during an interview on STO with Farmer about a week before FA, Farmer said with FA also comes another season it's called clearing the cap season, Farmer added that not only are there FA out thier to study & sign but some high end players also end up getting cut to make room for newly signed players so with that every player who gets released, cut what ever one wants to call it is eligible to sign, the Browns do thier due diligents with that player, some players they know right away their a no and others they look deeper, depending on the situation, but every player is looked at.
Now time to go get some Stromboli, maybe a peperoni sausage and three cheese.
Uh I rather have a meat calzone....this thread is worthless without pictures...

NFL .com said the Redskins signed Colt McCoy.
I guess that frees them up to trade RG3 for The Browns 2 first rounders this year. Or I guess that could free up the Browns to make the inverse trade from the other perspective. But that is just my unsubstantiated opinion of what might happen, for worse or not so worse, (this is the Browns.) Especially with a movie out about the Browns and a draft pick. It would be fitting,... they could say, well now they got the guy that they were going to give up so much for in the past, and only had to give up 2 , one's for it. Anyway, I don't think 3 is that great anyway; and hope this doesn't happen.
Can Deshaun Watson play better for the Browns, than Baker Mayfield would have? ... Now the Games count.

Where do you come up with this stuff?
Am I the only one that pronounces hyperbole "Hyper-bowl" instead of "hy-per-bo-le"?

I'm sorta thinking you don't have to worry too much about it.

- Who could take Mettenberger before the Vikings are called on the clock in round two? The Cleveland Browns, that’s who. While many have the Browns taking a quarterback with the fourth pick of the draft, most believe they’ll nab a signal caller with either the 26th or 35th pick of the process. If they don’t go quarterback in round one where does Cleveland look? Most believe it will be offensive tackle. Several sources tell me the team is hot and cold on Mitchell Schwartz and will look for an upgrade. In fact I’m told the Browns made a play for Eugene Monroe when he was on the trading block. Many claim “you don’t draft a right tackle with a top ten pick” but looking at the versatility and interchangeability of the tackle prospects excepted to be available at fourth pick its understandable why any team would go that route. link

God I hope this isn't the case. I'd like the best QB available to us. Not a development QB. Give me the best.

and what if the front office thinks none of the best QB's would make it in the NFL this year?

Then I'd prefer not to draft a QB until later in the draft. McCarron or Murray

Didn't the Vikes manage to blow a draft pick a few years back? Didn't get the card in in time? maybe we catch a break . . . .

I think it was them,, weren't the Ravens the team that benefited from that mistake?

This is why I posted the link. I didn't hear about us looking at Monroe. Quote:

That's a good point to bring up. I wasn't thinking about when this happened.

I'm a go get Robinson at #4 if no QB kind of guy...now vs then regarding Monroe and not too happy w/Schwartz.
Well Schwartz is Ok but not has shown sign of greatness and the Outside Zone blocking scheme we are to run should not make him more attractive to Shanahan n the team/Farmer. So maybe I get my guy?

I'm on board with that...or Matthews. This is providing the coaches believe Schwatrz could be kicked inside to RG...

Ya, I really don't want to just replace Schwartz so IF Schwartz can move inside and play the guard position at an above average level then sure, I'd be ok with taking a right tackle (assuming Farmer doesn't like any of the QBs enough). If we can keep Mack too then our line should be pretty strong. If Tate can stay healthy we should finally be able to run the ball. Lots of picks left to address the other needs too.

Let's pray that our FO isn't that stupid to even consider Mettenberger.
Didn't we just release Weeden?

For the sake of the NFL, I hope no GM is considering taking Mettenberger in the 1st or 2nd round.
