PITTSBURGH (Ticker) - The Pittsburgh Steelers added defensive line depth Tuesday, signing tackle Nick Eason to a one-year contract.

Financial terms were not disclosed.

Eason, 26, has spent his last three seasons with Cleveland. The 6-3, 305-pounder registered a career-high 23 tackles in 13 games last season.

In 30 career games, Eason has collected 44 tackles and two sacks.

Denver already had him.
He was with Denver in 2003. Basically, we took him from Denver.

I actually liked Eason and thought he was an effective role player. I'm sad to see him gone, but hopefully we can upgrade with a day-1 pick along the d-line.

This just in...
Denver Bronco’s have traded their 2nd round pick to reacquire Nick Eason from the Pittsburgh Steelers. Denver Bronco's believed they had a contract in place for a one year league minimum salary. The Steelers decided to make a call to Eason's agent before Denver officially signed him. It is believed Pittsburgh offered the league minimum and a scout’s honor not to play Eason at all this year. Eason was over ecstatic that he could collect his paycheck and not have to work for it. The city of Denver now awaits Mike Shanahan's resignation and his head on a platter. More news about the riots that just broke out in downtown Denver and details on the trade at 11.

Nothing more than a back up. Underacheived when drafted to Denver.

Maybe Pittsburgh will be the next Denver.

And that is why there is a Tailgate Forum. Nonsense is not only allowed, it is encouraged. And btw.......what super wrote wasn't even funny. It was just nonsense. Maybe you guys can cut and paste it in the Tailgate forum and then do 50 different variations on his "story," each one more bizarre than its predecessor. It should be a riot.

I'm not sure I find anything wrong with what Super wrote.. kinda funny if you ask me.. The guy didn't do anything wrong. He let his sense of humor out of the cage and a few of us got a laugh out of it,, what's the big deal? Anyone think that they never laugh in the draft room,,

Humor is like Jello,,,, There is always room for more! But that's JMO! It's ok with me if everyone doesn't agree

Then perhaps you guys should find some actual football stuff to copy and paste in this forum. Seriously, it never changes around here....people telling other people how stupid they are for having thoughts or opinions. Oh, but that's right....nobody is as smart as you guys. GMAFB.

Couldn't agree more. Oh, the pompousity!

Particularly galling is when something happens in the football world and then somebody posts about how they were telling everybody months ago that it was going to happen but nobody would believe them and people were even calling them crazy for saying such ridiculous things but now look - it's happened and he was right and they were all wrong and blah blah blah blah...

Hate it when that happens.

Yes he was last year but he was not resigned for this year thus he wouldn't have access to the new playbook and the changes that would have been made. that's all I was getting at.

While you are pointing your finger criticizing me always remember there are 4 more pointing back at you. If what I'm typing is nonsense then from now on you should not be allowed to make insulting remarks to people (that you love to make) and you should not be allowed to laugh either… because that's just nonsense. It may have not been funny to you but I found it to be amusing and I’m sure others did as well. The joke had a reference to Denver’s history of picking up our FA defensive lineman. It’s not as if I made an off topic joke in the middle of an invigorating discussion. If you need links to reference to your *nonsense* remarks I'm sure I can provide them with minimal effort.

Both this and what Shep wrote are hypocritical, self-contradictory statements. If you really had a problem with him posting that stuff on this board, you should have PM'd him, and not spammed the board and hijacked the thread in the first place.

Frankly, I think you both need to lighten up. We're all fans of the Browns and we should all respect each other more than this. I respect both you and Shep, for your football views and input, but this is getting nonsensical.

That being said, let's get over it. The thread is about Nick Eason and how he's not going to make Pittsburgh any better. I liked the guy as a player, but I don't think much of a difference will be made by his presence in Pittsburgh.

I think once in a while a little humor is needed to lighten up the mood. A lot of these threads get very heated with lots of name calling. It might also help if some people used common sense when starting threads here. One person admitted to starting three Bryant threads. Is that really needed?
