Yeah ... well ..... how many assists did he have? Huh?

That's a lot of free throws...

Well the Cavs are leading the 9th pick by .5 a game... sure was fun doing the math in the other direction for a while but whatevs...

The thing is... I don't know what the Cavs should draft, and I'm not sure I even really care anymore...

I wonder if Chris Grant bought into the Kyrie hype, thought he was the next trancendant player, a guy that could carry the team... Which allowed Grant to reach on a two #4s and a #1 overall... Sigh...

I'm just ganna put this here, for anyone that feels like crying..

PG: Kyrie Irving
SG: Victor Oladipo
SF:
PF: Andre Drummond
C: Jonas Valanciunas

Oh look.. We'd still have a big hole at SF this coming offseason... Wonder who'd wanna play on this team...

Jonas and Andre can't play PF, but I understand your point.

I understand as well but must point out that Oladipo hasn't been very good and would be much worse if he was at SG.

2013 NBA draft may go down as worst ever.

He hasn't been good, but he better than Bennett. The two guys that would 1-2 (MWC and The Greek Freak) now weren't even in consideration for the top picks.

Roy Hibbert sucks. If he wasn't 7'2 and looked like Wilt Chamberlin against Miami nobody would care about him.

The Pacers signed known locker-room cancer Bynum and then traded away Danny Granger, who was by all accounts said to be a solid locker-room leader. They've been a .500 team since, and 5 of those wins came directly after the trade was made.

Evan Turner is a scrub too. I really think they could be beat in the 2nd rd. The bulls, raptors, or nets are no pushover.

I've seen enough of Mike Brown and this team. This is a fireable offense losing to Milwaukee, and getting thrashed by Boston on your homecourt. I know they're out of the playoff picture, just no excuse losing to these teams. No heart at all, and they never developed any consistency. I would trade Irving or Waiters, whomever could give you the best haul. Gilbert has to know you can't bring this team back the way it's constructed, with Brown as coach. No freaking way.

Mike Brown is awful, but I think Chris Grant did the worst job humanly possible adding talent and guys that fit. Honestly, I don't wish really bad things on people, but Grant might be an exception. It just pisses me off when I look at the draft picks we've made and should have made.

Their effort is embarrassing. The only bright side is they have enough talent, to get some good players. They are big time losers though. Nothing will change, until brown is out, and they trade Dion/Kyrie..

They have enough talent on the team this year they should of EASILY been a 4-5 seed in the crap that is the East...

Just shows you can't throw a bunch of guys together, regardless of talent and assume they'll play well...

When I look at how things played out, I'm not so sure about that. I think if we had Spencer Hawes the whole season we might have has a chance. However, we had ZERO consistency off of the bench. We might have had the worst bench in the NBA. We had Jarrett Jack and a bunch of rookies, injured vets or guys that sucked. Let's look at the starters:

PG: Kyrie Irving has questionable leadership, is injury prone and doesn't play defense. That's not what you want from your supposed best player.

SG: Dion Waiters, doesn't play defense. Gets overconfident and starts chucking up shots. JR Smith syndrome at times. Can't play with Kyrie at all.

SF: Luol Deng is a system player. I thought he'd be a great off ball player. I think he's been nothing but a typical spoiled Duke crybaby. When things didn't go how he planned I think he shut it down. He got spoiled by Chicago and forgot how to deal with adversity. He can't shoot consistently.

PF: Tristan Thompson is what he is, I don't care if we don't resign him. His defense sucks versus PFs that can actually play offense. He also gets his shot blocked like crazy. He never really used a jump shot, just early in the year. I bet we over pay for him.

C: Spencer Hawes, a lone bright spot to me. He struggles on defense and can't really bang with physical guys. However, he gives us spacing with his offense and 3 point shooting. I want to keep him over Mr. Glass Varejao.

I would never have thought that I would say this ....... but I do think that CJ Miles being hurt for an extended period of time really hurt the team.

When he was playing, he averaged almost 10 PPG in almost 20 minutes. He could also get on a really hot streak and refuse to miss anything. He was actually something of a stabilizing force for the team.

10 more wins gets us in the 5 seed.

How many games did this team lose to teams like Milwaukee and Philly? Really bad teams..

But they can beat OKC? Play tight with Miami without their "best" player?

Yes they are flawed. But seriously.. Look at the East this year.. This team may be more disappointing than the 09 team...

I keep seeing mock drafts having us take Mcdermott.

Irving / Waiters / Mcdermott / Bennett / Hawes

We may be able to play the worst defense in nba history. I'm talking worse than the run and gun Suns.

So Joe Haden bought 25 lower bowl tickets to the final Cavs game this Wednesday and gave them all away to Twitter followers. Pretty cool.

I don't know what else to say about the season that hasn't already been said. Disappointing and predictable are two words that come to mind. Hopefully the Cavs can strike gold in the lottery/draft and some of the young players develop into what the former G.M. thought they would be.

The problem is...

I don't he ever really "thought" they'd be anything.. I don't think grant went about it that way...

He was a numbers guy.. It's kind of like that scene in Money Ball where they say they just need to replace one guys BPA.

Grant was just trying to fill in MPG and PPG and never really looked at who the people were..

JMHO

Personally I wouldn't mind the Cavs throwing in the towel and just starting over. Keep Hawes and Thompson, if the price is reasonable, and put the rest on the trade block.

You keep Thompson? Why? So he can score a 10-10 while getting completely dominated by any PF worth his damn?

Dion is honestly (and VERY surprisingly) the only guy I'd think about keeping, yeah he can't play defense either, but the guy goes out there and looks like he gives a crap more than some of the others...

I'd try to swing Kyrie for a Top ten pick this year. Draft an Athletic SF, and a true PF.. And use whatever money we have to bring in a PG that cares more about basketball than Pepsi commercials (regardless of how humorous they are)

If I were trying to trade Kyrie, I would want some good players back in return. Don't think a top 10 pick is enough. I would target Mike Conley, and try to get Gasol as well. Conley is having a great year, plays defense, and is pretty efficient on offense.

The cavs probably have to throw in expirings like andy, gee and hopson. But yea thats what i would ask for to start. If they only wantes to throw in conley i would want another player.

Would I trade Kyrie for Wiggins or Embid? Hell yes.

The question is. Would the team with #1 do it...

The only thing in that case that would work would involve us basically giving up entire starting 5. Plus sign and trading Hawes. And thatd be silly.

Yeah, I think you'd have to be dumb to give away that pick for Irving...

For the Cavs, I would do it only because of the whispers of him wanting out, the injuries, the bad body language on court, lack of defensive effort, etc...

Like people on this very board have mentioned... You don't win championships with smallish guard who don't play defense... Unless of course that player is teamed up with Greg Popovich and Tim Duncan...

I wouldn't just trade him to trade him, but I'd be active in shopping him around.

Time to go play on the Trade Machine again...

I've got Kyrie and Verajao's Expiring Contract for Trey Burke, Gordon Hayword, and Enes Kanter...

Kyrie, Jack, and Verajao for Rondo, Green, and Olynyk

And for fun...

Kyrie, Thompson, Bennett, Gee, Verajao, Jack, Deng..

For LeBron, Wade, and Bosh

Lakers or Magic

If LA lands Melo (fat chance) they're in win now mode. No way that fanbase is content when 3 crap seasons in a row.
